Offered for auction at no reserve is our 1960 Rambler American 2 door Sedan. It is hard to find these cars in this clean of condition. Many have been driven into the ground or set aside to rust-away in decay. This example has been preserved and cherished over the years. 1960 was the turning point for Rambler. as they transitioned into their future role of providing quality compact cars to the American public. They would continue to produce fuel efficient and well-built cars for decades to come. This American Sedan was equipped with the 195. 6ci OHV 6 cylinder. an upgrade from the previous flathead 6 that previous American cars would've had. This example also has the 3-speed manual transmission which functions as intended with no problems. The drivetrain in this car is original. with no issues or quirks to worry about. It always starts. brakes work fine. shifts smoothly. and doesn't drip/leak. The paint has been redone by the previous owner and is in excellent condition. No dents. dings. or damage to the finish or color. There are a few minor rock chips or scratches. as can be expected with an old car that is driven. Interior was partially redone. but the carpet was just done with cheap materials and it is stained and damaged. The seats are in excellent shape though. no tears or damage to them. Headliner is in great shape as well. All the gauges work with no problems with them. Trunk is also fully upholstered with similar carpeting. the original spare is still in the lower compartment and the original paint is visible there as well. Overall. this car is extremely solid and drives down the road with no issues or complaints. Everything functions as they should and this car would be a welcome addition to any collection of American Motors products.
