It's 90% done and the motor, tranny and rear just went in so it will need tweaking before it's truly roadworthy but ive already driven it around the block a few times.
1968 AMC Javelin SST with newly built 401 and 727 torquecommand tranny. 20k in receipts before engine build. Motor was balanced, has forged crank, rods and pistons, Scorpion roller rockers. Serpentine pulley kit from Bulltear that was $450 or so. Cylinders were not cut, only honed and deck cut to zero for quench to be able to run pump gas. Forged Ross pistons were 10.5:1 compression and heads were fully ported with upgraded springs and seats. Tranny is a stage 2 ATI rebuild.
Have not even gotten past breaking in motor and got tired pouring money into it. I drove it for years with a chevy smallblock and was amazing to drive but it took a lot out of me to convert it back to AMC and to build this motor.
Has Ford 8.8 rear with lsd 3.73 gears and disc brakes all around. Interior is done except for door panels and headliner. Needs side windows installed but have two sets, minus the two quarter windows. Got a ram air hood built for it but no intake parts yet.No rust anywhere. just dusty from driving.I'm sure I've forgotten a lot.
paint is older job.
new wiring harness.
new gaugesI have a ton of pictures but eBay isn't liking my phone
