1973 AMC Javelin Factory 4-speed Hurst

For your consideration I am selling a rare 1973 AMC Javelin project car. It is a remarkably solid project car with so much potential. It has rare options. and is not a rust bucket. Very restorable with a factory 360 4 barrel (now has a Holly Dbl pump with an Edelbrock Eliminator intake). 4 speed T-10 manual trans with factory Hurst shifter. Rally gage package w/ Tic-Toc-Tac. with factory AC (compressor missing). This is a restoration project car with a clean NJ title. I will attempt to describe the car to the best of my ability with accuracy and honesty. The only major rust I am aware of is in the lower passenger side quarter panel (common place). The remainder of the body panels are solid. The frame rails are solid. There is a very small rust hole on the passenger side floor pan requiring a tiny piece of metal welded in place. nbsp;the rest of that pan is solid. The remainder of the floor pans are rust free and solid. The body is super straight with exception to the roof. The roof will require some body work on the back corners (dented. see pics). The rear glass is good. the driver and passenger windows front and rear are good. The windshield is cracked. The interior is complete. most of the panels have been restored and look great. The dash pad is in excellent condition. even the speaker grill is intact. The rally gage package is intact as well. I don't think the clock or the tac are functioning. The seats are corduroy with the turtle shell backing. I thing these seats are from a 1972 Javelin or possibly specially ordered (not sure). The seats will of course need to be redone. One of the notable features of the interior is the shifter console. The console is a rare. one year only. nbsp;1971 automatic console. but can be easily modified to function with the 4 speed. That combination alone (console. plate. ring and shifter housing) can bring around $1500 alone! There is such one on ebay right now without the console for $999. The engine: I have little knowledge of what was done to this engine. I will tell you that despite sitting for many years. after changing the oil and some fresh gas. the engine started right up and after 30 minutes or so it was idling and running like a beast with NO smoke. Again. I don't know what was done to the engine. but it ran like someone put some serious work in it. While I had the car running. I was able to put it in gear and go forward and reverse. so no worries there. all of the electricals were functioning as well. As you can see by the pictures. I was in the process of tearing the car down for restoration. so at present some of the pictures you will see. may not show what has been removed already. For instance. the brake master is shot. so I removed it. If you are considering this car. you are likely aware of the value in parts alone that this car could bring. But I think the value is in preserving the car as a whole. These are RARE vehicles by themselves. but how many factory 4 speed Hurst models do you see out there?Tires hold air and will roll onto a flatbed for transportation.
