The Swan Door 4.3 and 4.7 Astons have held stable price wise the last couple of years suggesting they will next start moving up in value in the collector car market. The 4.7 is vastly more desirable in that they are faster (the 4.3 cars were always considered underpowered), ome (like this car) have the Sport Package (bigger 19” double spoke wheels, etter suspension, ilstein Shocks, etter brakes, nd improved anti roll bar.
This 2010 4.7L Aston has both the 6 speed and Sport Package. Both highly desirable options. The auto trans version of this car is considered a lesser car as they are hideously expensive to repair and not particularly durable. Additionally the driver has to let the auto trans reprogram itself at the start of each day.
Unveiled in 2005, he V8 Vantage represented a significant change in direction for Aston Martin. Following the David Brown years, ston had encountered many financial troubles that often prevented them from devoting the resources to develop innovative new models from the ground up. The V8 Vantage, ogether with the DB9, epresented a completely new generation of Aston Martins with superb dynamics, utstanding build quality, nd of course striking aesthetics. The V8 Vantage is smaller and more nimble than the DB9, nd also employs an aluminum frame. The V8 Vantage is powered by a 380hp quad-cam alloy dry-sump naturally-aspirated 4.3 liter V8, nd is equipped with a rear-mounted 6-speed transaxle manual transmission. Consequently, he weight distribution is 49% front and 51% rear, nd the car’s compact dimensions and careful prototype testing (including much time circulating the Nurburgring) have made the car reportedly one of the best, f not the best, riving Aston Martin ever. The car was further improved for the 2009 model year, ore and stroke increases to raise displacement to 4.7 liters and power to 420hp. The valves were increased in size as well, nd the torque figure was increased 15 percent to 347 ft-lbs. The flywheel was also lightened, nd stiffer springs fitted as well. This particular example is outstanding, ith almost no wear whatsoever. As a 2010, t features all of the aforementioned upgrades, nd is fitted with the optional Sports package, hich includes different wheels, pgraded springs, nd revised rear roll bar. In addition to the Sports Pack, he car has a number of other options, hich brought the price to $150,000. Some of the options include red brake calipers, ID Xenon headlamps with washers and leveling, right finish grille, atellite navigation, inted windows, ront parking sensors, eated front seats with memory, atellite radio, luetooth, nd premium audio system. Additionally, he car has had a very extensive clear bra professionally installed on all forward facing surfaces including the rear wheel arches. With just 22,003 miles, he car is in excellent cosmetic condition. There are no paintwork flaws, nd finish and panel match is excellent throughout, s is the trim. The glass and lamps are also extremely nice and the wheels are very nice overall.
The Aston is infamous for two pieces of trim on either side of the dash that are covered with nice English leather. The problem is the leather tightens and curls up these two small pieces of dash. It looks unsightly and is expensive to fix. There are two types of Astons. Those that have not been fixed and those that have had the fix done. This car was just done by the shop that does all the cars for Aston Martin Newport Beach. The interior is in as-new condition and has a very special feel, ith leather or metal covering almost every surface, rom the door panels to the entire center console and dashboard. The stitching is in red and is very striking, hile the headliner, -pillars, nd visors are trimmed in suede-like alcantara. The interior has excellent detailing and quality, articularly the instruments, hich have a lovely milled appearance. The contra-rotating tachometer is a thoughtful nod to Aston Martin’s illustrious past. The engine compartment is stock and very clean, s would be expected for a car with such low mileage. The trunk is like new, nd usefully shaped. Its practicality is further enhanced by the hatch back configuration of the lid, hich permits easy access even for golf clubs. The driving experience of this car is unlike any other Aston Martin. It has a robust and solid feel, nd also a nimbleness and compactness that is missing from larger Astons. The seating position is very sporting, nd one feels completely enveloped by the car. The all round performance is impressive and the car makes great exhaust sound. The extra power and torque of the 4.7 liter engine is apparent compared to the 4.3 liter car, nd the Sports Pack makes the car an even more precise piece of driving equipment. This is a great opportunity to acquire a properly looked after and well-equipped example of this striking car. The car is in excellent order, eeding nothing but a new owner. It is available for a considerably less than its pricing when new, hich was over $150,000. While it is certainly photogenic, he images of the car do not adequately convey the car’s true presence. It truly stands out from the sea of largely unremarkable modern cars while also providing the trouble free operation and peace of mind of new cars. It has earned a reputation as a problem free reliable car.
