1999 Audi A4 Quattro Base Sedan 4-Door 1.8L

Hi. everybody!Now for sale is a beautiful AUDI A4 QUATTRO all wheel drive (!). in good condition. This was my commute car. for it's very economical and fit to the city traffic. I only sell it because I bought a bigger car. so this one must go. Mileage is around 157000. as I drive it yet from time to time. Generally. it looks good. but here and there are little dents or chips (see pictures). I bought it almost two years ago in the same status. so while I drove it I took really good care of it. The interior is very clean. the leather is nice and without any damage. the original AUDI's Cassette player was replaced with a SONY CD player by the previous owner. that gives a very nice sound. Though. because of this change. the controls on the drive wheel are not active anymore. but this did not affect me too much. As a "plus". the SONY has an USB input. so you can use USB Sticks with MP3 music. Also. on front has an AUX Input for other music sources. very convenient!Technically is in good condition. About half a year ago I changed the brakes (discs and pads). Also. I wanted to make sure with the belts (I knew nothing when were changed last time). so ALL the belts were changed (timing belt and water pump included!). The only thing I could not find is a noise heard when going over a bump. as something is lose. but all the joints looks ok and shows no wear. Tires are about 50%. so they have still enough life in them. I wanted to renew the inspection (the last expired in August 2014). which I'm sure it should have been passed. but the airbag lamp is lit and the mechanics did not accept the car unless this was taken care. The lamp lighted from time to time about a year ago and then stayed lit. I looked into the matter and I discovered the culprit is well known to AUDI cars. and that's the electric junction from beneath the passenger's seat (when seat is moved back and forth the cable is moved and any loose contact triggers the lamp). I cleaned myself the contacts of the junction. but the airbag electronic unit must be reset only with proper equipment (computer). that I don't have. To be honest. that lamp did not bother me much. so I just ignored it. Also. being registered on diplomatic plates. the state inspection was not mandatory. although the car was well taken care by our mechanics. who performed the normal maintenance (oil change. brakes. etc. ). The gear box shifts nice and smooth (the TIPTRONIC gear box is a NICE feature!). the engine does not smoke and there is NO drip from them. AC works fine and so does all the powered functions (windows. doors. sunroof. etc. )The car is sold AS IS. so a personal inspection before the auction is welcomed. Just set yourself an appointment. The winner of the auction must come and pick the car for himself. as I have to return the plates to Office of Foreign Mission to obtain the title (it stays in deposit with OFM).
