1996 Audi A6 Avant Quattro (AWD)

Reason to sell: I've put over 50. 00 miles on this car and love how it drives. especially with a long commute in the snow. But now. its a must sell because I'm moving to Puerto Rico. If I weren't moving I'd continue repairing/upgrading its condition. Condition: 1. Check Engine Light - I have a reader and its only an O2 sensor setting that off. I don't have the time to fix it before selling/leaving here. That done and it will pass inspection (its NY inspection sticker is good through October). 2. Other dash lights - the brake and anti-lock-brake light are on. When I replaced the LF wheel baring the ABL sensor got damaged. I liked the faster stopping power in the snow anyway so I didn't fix it. ABL keeps cars straight by anti-lockup. but actually increases stopping distance. The odometer light is out. The text is still visible but hard to read. 3. Taligate - rust. Also the latch mechanism doesn't work via the key. I use a screw-driver through a hole I drilled in the license plate. 4. Temp control - there's a coat-hanger that controls the temperature (bypassing a servo that was expensive). The air works blows cold. so does the heat. Features: This car is exceptionally good in the snow. My commute was 40 miles on I-90 in Syracuse (snowiest major city in the USA). I'm impressed with its stability in deep slushy snow at highway speeds which seems mostly due to the long wheel-base and AWD. History: I bought this car used from the son of its original owner 5 years ago. In that time I've replaced the full exhaust system including cats. full brakes. and added a Class 3 hitch.
