This special edition vehicle is 1 of 860 imported in 2003. This rare beast sports 450 horses and is a twin turbo. Just put $8500 into the vehicle for a NEW TRANSMISSION (under warranty). Direct Buy "Platinum Plus" Warranty on the vehicle thru 8/28/2016 OR 157708 miles! Look up the vehicle on-line to see just how rare and special it is. Go to carfax to affirm that the vehicle has never been in an accident (I also have a copy that I can email you). Then get in touch!
Car can only be and has only been serviced by a certified RS6 mechanic. My mechanic is located in Pasadena where the vehicle was purchased. I can give you his information as needed. Original sticker also available.
RECENT QUESTIONS ASKED:
1) Just to be clear - the transmission needs to be replaced at $8500 but it is fully covered by transferable warranty so the cost to the buyer will be $0? Has the insurer already authorized/approved the repair?
2) Any interior or exterior damage (including just wear & tear) on the vehicle the buyer should be alerted to?
3) Will you be posting the answers from the mechanic re: the recall status, iming chain, tc.?
4) Is the car drivable, r is does the transmission need to be replace first? Is the car available for viewing (or driving, f drivable)? I am in So Cal as well.
ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS:
1) The repair has already happened and the car drives beautifully. The warranty group paid $6000 of the $8500 to put in a new Audi transmission. Also realigned the vehicle at the same time.
2) There is a new stereo system in the car. Got rid of the other as it was a 2003 system and didn't offer the bluetooth capability, SB or auxillary ports that systems offer today. You'll notice in the pictures that there is a scuff under the front spoiler from a parking brick. Rims have some wear and tear. Other than that, othing. Still debating if i will have the scuffs repaired. Very clean in and out.
3) The Electrical System recall was completed through Rusnak Audi in Pasadena. The Fuel system recall is something that I just learned about and can be done by me or the buyer of the vehicle can take to a dealership to have repaired (no cost). There is no timing chain, ut a timing belt. I contacted the mechanic and he is emailing me the service list of all repairs. It can be made available to serious buyers. Could post online as well.
4) The vehicle is ready and available for viewing and test driving. I am in the Burbank area.
