Yes …. This 1998 Audi A8 4.2 litre Quattro WAS in fact, riven by a little old lady - -my Mother! Mom has finally reached the age where she no longer feels comfortable driving on here own, o it’s time to move her Audi on to someone who can use it and enjoy it. This is a full-package A8 with the larger 4.2 V8 engine and Quattro drive. The A8 series is the flagship of the Audi car line, nd their largest model. Vehicle has 105,985 miles on the clock, nd Mom was the second owner. She bought it at an Audi dealership when the car came back in from a lease. In the years she owned the car it has performed reliably with only one trip back to the dealer for service. Otherwise, ar has been well maintained mechanically with regular oil changes using full synthetic oil. Car had been off the road for a bit when the pictures were taken; I have cleaned it thoroughly inside and out since and its ready for a new home. As this is an all-aluminum car, here is no rust whatsoever on the vehicle. There is some deterioration to the clear coat of the paint as well as a scratch on the lower right side visible in the pictures, o you may elect for a paint job however this is optional and not really absolutely necessary for body maintenance. Power steering, ower brakes, ir conditioning & full automatic climate control, M/FM stereo with cassette and CD changer, ptional BOSE speaker system, nboard trip computer, ruise, ower sunroof, ower windows & door locks, he best leather interior you’ll ever see with 6 way power seats & adjustable steering column. On the road the acceleration is simply “shock and awe”. It outpaced my friends Porsche (to her embarrassment) and holds the road like super glue. Unbelievably stable in snow. When I was driving it a couple months back, he onboard computer registered an error code which I analyzed on my OBD-II set as the transmission range sensor. At that time the transmission switched into limp mode. I reset the computer and everything has been fine since. This was the same fault that occurred about 8 years ago when we brought the car back to Audi and they replaced the sensor at no charge. Apparently this is a known issue for Audi and Volkswagen for several model years on numerous models and they have a quiet recall on the part. This is the only thing I am aware of and should it happen again, n Audi dealer can replace the sensor. Vehicle is sold as-is, here-is.
