Description

1906 Ford Model N Runabout Sale to benefit the Classic Car Club of America Museum Body Number 4185. Engine Number N402 Prior to the introduction of the Model T in 1908, he Model N was the best-selling car in America, ith 7,000 made between July, 906 and November, 908. It was lightweight, urable and priced at $500, as affordable to the masses. Designed as a two-passenger runabout, ord and his staff learned many things from the Model N that were later incorporated into the Model T. While the early history of this car is unknown, t was later acquired by noted collector and old-car aficionado, argaret Dunning of Plymouth, ichigan. Margaret commissioned a full, igh-level restoration of the car to bring it back to life. This was a complete restoration of body, hassis, pholstery, ngine and drivetrain. When finished, argaret drove the car occasionally and enjoyed showing it (as attested to by the "Wolf Whistle" horn she added under the hood!) About 10 years ago she donated it to the Classic Car Club Museum in Hickory Corners, ichigan. Margaret also donated her 1930 Cadillac and following her passing in 2015 at age 105, er 1930 Packard joined the museum collection. As the 1906 Ford falls outside of the scope of the CCCA Museum (which encompasses cars from the Classic Era of 1915-1948), t is now being offered for sale here on eBay, ith net proceeds to benefit the CCCA Museum, 501c3 non-profit institution and their programs to preserve the cars and history of the Classic Era. Charvet Classic Cars has been retained to handle the sale of this automobile of behalf of the museum. The car remains in exceptional condition today.
