Description

I am selling my 2005 light silver metallic/Platinum Audi A8L. I had recently traded my 2008 BMW 535 Xi thinking I would need additional room for hauling the kids around town. This German sedan offers a 4. 2L 335 HP 6 speed tiptronic transmission with paddle shifters that are responsive (for their time) and are easily accessible. I get about 17 MPG in the city and 25 MPG on the highway driving around 75 MPH (speed limit in parts of Texas). The aluminum framed body has zero scratches or dents and the leather interior is in excellent condition. The automatic seats function properly and the driver and passenger seats are heated (although we rarely use them). The automatic windows function flawlessly as does the moon roof. This particular year did not offer a glass sunroof due to the fact it offer a solar panel that is used to maintain a comfortable temperature when the vehicle isn't in use (fan maintains steady temperature). The goodyear Z rated tires have a 6/32 tread life and have been maintained and rotated. The rims have a couple of very small blemished (paint chip) without any curb rash. The electronic trunk opener works well and the gas door opener is fully functional as well. There are no error messages on the car and the dreaded TPMS system is fully functional. The air suspension is in perfect working order and have never received a message warning me. I recently had two front bearing put on the car and a new radiator hose. My mechanic stated the radiator is fairly new and he stated there was a recall. Apparently. radiators in the warmer climates were failing and new units were added on that year. There is one flaw with the vehicle which I have chosen not to tackle and for some it may be a show stopper. The soft close doors aren't functional and I chose not to mess with them. I've replaced these devices on Mercedes and BMWs and chose not to repair it. It may be a few buck or a thousand. I'm simply not motivated to waste money on it. Cosmetically. the car is in great shape. There are a few scratches where the previous own scratched the bottom of the bumper fascia but is not noticeable looking at the front of the car. I don't know if the vehicle has ever been wrecked but by looking at the overall fit of the car. I believe it's never been wrecked (an observation). I purchased the rubber floor mats thinking they fit better (and they do). They were purchased from an Audi dealer and are a great addition to the car. Disclaimer:I am not a dealer and have owned a good number of German sedans so. would know if something wasn't functioning properly. The vehicle did NOT come with the records so please. don't ask for them. It only has a single key but. you can get additional ones from the dealer for about 150. 00. I won't pay for a carfax and if you want to speak to my mechanic about the vehicle. I can arrange that. I won't pay for shipping. drive it more than 25 miles from my residence to show or consider lowball prices from hagglers or dealers. Also. I know this is going to upset some people but. I refuse to ship this vehicle anywhere outside the continental US nor will I do business with people I consider to be "smarmy" In your country of origin. it may be okay to fester. complain about the price or. "negotiate" to the point of being a pain in the ass but here. nbsp;I don't have to put up with it. Please read carefully as well as I have dealt with people who believe good condition means new. THIS CAR ISN'T NEW!!Should you buy this vehicle and it isn't the color you like. it drives different than you thought. the blinkers are too loud or. you expected better performance. go search for another car. This car is being sold AS IS // WHERE IS. No warranties/No returnsI've done my best to explain the condition of the vehicle (inside and out). If you are interested and would like to test drive it. I would be more than happy to schedule a time to do it.
