2004 BMW 745i **SOLD AS IS**

This listing is for a 2004 BMW 745i **SOLD AS IS** for $4500; This car has spacious room. black leather interior. black exterior. tinted windows. heated seats. large trunk space. and more. The private sale value for this year make model with equal amount of mileage maxes out at just over $9. 00 according to CARS. COM. The interior is in 'FAIR' condition. The exterior paint job is in 'GOOD' condition. I just recently purchased a new vehicle and I simply just want to sell my old vehicle. This car is not in perfect condition but. can be brought back to dependable condition with some work. Please see below for all 'known' issues that I've experienced with this vehicle. I'm giving full disclosure for issues that i know of. [DOOR LOCKS]: The doors can be locked from the inside with exception to the driver side door. The remote keys have never worked. I purchased a new key from the dealership and the dealership was unable to program the key to the vehicle. I did not pay to find out why. [TRANSMISSION OVERHEATING]: While driving. this vehicle 'overheated'; the computer's malfunction message said 'transmission overheat'. I have not had any mechanics inspect the car to date to valid the issue. However. i did call the BMW dealership for advisement. The BMW dealership stated that it could be one of several possibilities. 1) Transmission needs to be replaced or 2) there are one or two hoses that could be lose. I did not take the vehicle in for repair so. i dont know which is the cause. [SPORATIC WINDSHIELD WIPERS]: The windshield wipers do not always function properly. Sometimes the work fine and sometimes they dont work at all. Sometimes they can not be turned off until you remove the 'fuse' from under the hood. I have not taken the vehicle in for repair and do not know the cause. [FIXEABLE BUT DAMAGED DRIVER SIDE MOLDING STRIP]: I have a 4 year old son who was pulling on the seat belt while sitting behind the driver side seat. He was strong enough to pull the safety belt hard enough to crack the molding that runs vertical to the driver side seat. Over time. i had to just remove the molding strip completely. I never got a cost estimate on how much to fix. [FALSE COMPUTER READINGS]: I dont believe that the computer board always produce real malfunction errors. The computer goes haywire and will give a new error every 3-4 seconds it seems like. I dont know if a 'software update' is needed or what is the true cause. I know for a fact that some errors are false because its given a 'low oil' message right after an oil change. [Oil Leak]: The engine does leak oil. I have to keep an eye on the oil level between oil changes and refill the engine to its appropriate level. The exhaust pipe will also produce a light vapor to a dark smoke from time to time. Most if you come to a stop sign or red light and then accelerate. Doesnt continually smoke but. after a stop and go. I've had mechanics to advice that this could be a oil leak around the O-rings while other mechanics advice that this probably isnt the issue. I've been as honest as I can. The transmission issue is the biggest issue that I've had since owning. The car drove smoothly prior to. There are special conditions with this purchase. The 'car title' is has a LIEN on it. The buyer will have to wait to obtain the 'car title' after purchase. I will mail the 'car title' to the buyer or other arrangements can be made. The buyer can physically take the vehicle after I have received the purchase cost in FULL. The vehicle is available for local pick up only.
