Description

Alpine White on Black Sport Leather with Evo Upgrades. the perfect drivers car. This enthusiast owned M3 has been tastefully upgraded with some of the best OEM and aftermarket parts available. Most importantly the engine. A 2. 5L S14 Engine. After experiencing the increased power from the 2. 5 liter you simply cannot go back. In the M3's final years of competition in touring car racing. rule changes increased maximum engine displacement to 2. 5-liter's. Because of this BMW produced a production run of 600 very special M3's with this more powerful engine. Nice examples of these cars have now eclipsed over one hundred thousand dollars. This is the pinnacle of the road going E30 M3. This car is an opportunity to experience the ownership at a fraction of the cost. The motor was rebuilt in early 2009 and the mileage at the time of overhaul was 185550. This represents the mileage of the engine since rebuild at roughly 37. 00 miles. The engine runs beautifully. technical info: Schrick 284/278 Cams. 11:1 CP Pistons. adjustable cam gears. BMW EVO Oil pump. BMW DTM Baffled Oil Pan. E36 Chain Tensioner. Evo Valve Springs. Evo Air Box. replaced valve shims. valve job. Valve Cover and intake plenum powder coated red. Exhaust is custom by Cars and Concepts Tampa Florida(local BMW e30 M3 specialist). Aluminum radiator. The Transmission is original and is in great shape. The clutch(Sachs/OEM). bearings. rear main seal(OEM) and shifter bushings were replaced less than 1000 miles ago and the flywheel was machined. The flywheel has been lightened to about 12lbs and does not cause any chatter or excessive vibration. This allows quicker revs similar to the factory flywheel in the Sport Evo. The car also features shorter shift throws courtesy of an OEM BMW Z3 shifter. I have tried to keep all modifications as period correct as possible during my tenure with the car. My goal was to always source an OEM part rather than an aftermarket replacement when possible. Copious Records for the car are also included dating back to the BMW Service dept. 1200 Mile Inspection completed in 1988. The car has resided in three states California. Texas and Florida and therefore has been safe from road salt and snow. The VIN WBSAK0308J2196164(Digit 7[J]) denotes that the car was one of the first 93 M3's ever to be imported to the united states in July 1987. This car sits on gorgeous recently restored 3 piece 16 inch BBS RS wheels. The centers are Nagaro Silver and the outside lip is polished. Made in West Germany can be seen on the wheel markings. No discernible marks or scratches can be seen on the wheels. The tires retain about 80% of their tread depth and are performance oriented Toyo R1A's. The interior was refurbished in May 2014 and the worn and unsalvagable factory seats were replaced with Recaro Sport Seats covered in BMW M Leather. These seats were originally built by Recaro for the BMW Sport Evo. The seats are comfortable. supportive and absolutely set off the inside of the car. I chose leather for the long term durability and overall resilience of the interior. Air Conditioning was converted to R134a. This car is almost 27 years old and the condition for the age is impressive. Mechanically the car is very good. The paint is in overall good shape showing very little wear and a strong glossy finish. It's a beautiful car to look at. Most people would struggle to find any imperfections. There are a few spots that have been corrected with touch up paint over the years but are only noticeable at close proximity to the car. Original VIN number stickers exist on all body panels of the car except for the front fenders which were damaged in a small accident in October 1995. A plastic tab broke on the front passenger side marker and is missing from the car. The reflector has been order and will be provided to the buyer free of charge when delivered from Germany if not prior to the auction. All tools in trunk are included as well as trunk carpeting. Original spare tire and tools with car. OEM cassette deck was replaced with Pioneer CD/USB Headunit with bluetooth iphone integration. All speakers are functioning and sound clear. The drivers mirror motor was replaced and functions perfectly. The passenger power door mirror hesitates to move upwards but can still be controlled manually.
