1997 BMW 328i Base Convertible Samoa Blue/Dove Gray

Up for Auction is my 1997 BMW 328i Convertible It is the Rare and sought after Samoa Blue with Dove Gray Leather Interior. It is in good Running Condition but it needs some TLC. All Electrics work including Windows. A/C. Cruise. Headlights. Interior Lights. Radio. Electric Top Motors. Wipers and Wiper Washer. Has new Tires. less than 1 year old Top of the Line Canvas Top. Battery. and Aftermarket Stereo with USB. This car is a real Head Turner. The Top Worked wonderfully until March 2015. The Gearing in the Motor for the Deck Lid sounds like it is stripped. It will turn but it will just not grab the gear to flip up the Rear Deck Lid. So the Top is inoperable and will not go down. The Odometer Lights do not work. However. you can still read the Mileage if you look closely or use a Flash light to shine on it as it is Digital. There are No Leaks except for the Rack & Pinion Case. which is very slight. The Check Engine Light is On due to the Catalytic Converter. which is throwing the Oxygen Sensor. In the Last Year: · New Top – June 2014 ($850) · New Tires – February 2014 Mirada Sport GTX ($400) · New Power Steering Hose – Dec. 2014 ($150) · Newly Rebuilt Alternator – January 2015 ($150) · New Battery – December 2014 ($110) · Kenwood Aftermarket Stereo with Aux/USB – June 2014 ($180) · New Mass Air Flow Sensor – August 2014 ($79) Needs: · Catalytic Converter Replaced on Right Side · Deck Lid Motor Serviced or Replaced · Driver’s Leather Seat needs re-stitching · 3rd Brake Light needs to be checked or Replaced · Passenger Seat will not go back up · Fog Lights need to be Replaced (Seal Leaked and they shorted out when they got wet) · All 4 Shocks/Struts need to be Replaced · Rack & Pinion needs to be Replaced (New $230 Part on eBay) · Could use a Paint Job Overall. it is still a great car. Sadly. I was a Pharmaceutical Rep that got Laid Off and this had been my Weekend Car for my Wife and I. I had a Company Car at the time but had to turn it in on my departure. Now. I have a new Career in Medical Equipment Sales and am a Traveling Salesman. My new company does not provide a Company Car and. therefore. I have driven this car for work daily. The miles and long days have prevented me from getting these things taken care of. I just don’t have the time to “Drop it Off” and wait for them to Service it. Also. I don’t have another vehicle I can drive while it is in Service. So. I’m just going to let this one go and Buy something more practical for now. Hopefully. I can get another BMW Convertible someday.
