1972 BMW 3.0CS

You are bidding on a RUNNING. DRIVING project car. This car is from a 40 year -all BMW collection. This car is the last car the owner was working on before he sold the entire collection to me. This car runs and drives very well. The brakes at the wheels appear to be new. both front and rear. The brakes work without surging or pulsing and stop the car straight. The exhaust is bad and will need to be replaced. all the parts are with the car but the muffler is not in place. There is a box of loose parts for the interior and the carpet set with padding is also in the car. Now. as all people know CS's rust. Most of the rust repair has been done. The floors are nearly complete with the exception of under the seat mount on the driver side. The spare tire well is also rusty but can be patched. The passenger side rocker looks complete and the driver side rocker needs one area finished. The area under the hood at the top of the inner fender and outer fender is cut out and partly repaired. The remainder of the inner fender to outer fender on both sides needs to be completed. the BMW repair panels for this area come with the car. This is a great CS for someone looking to get a car well below market price and a very solid start to a restoration candidate. As for the mileage the odometer only has 5 digits so the true mileage is beyond is capability. This is a great project that can be moved and driven while work is being completed. The car runs well (dual Weber carbs). does not blow smoke on start up. and/or acceleration and deceleration. Transmission shifts smoothly. clutch does not slip. power steering does not whine. cooling systems works properly. Not included in the sale is the steering wheel and the vintage license plates.
