BMW, Z8, 2001, Convertible, Roadster, Sports Car, Supercar, Exotic, Rare

For sale is my beloved BMW Z8. More photos on request via email. Unfortunately. due to my wife's disagreement with me on what constitutes a practical car. I am being pushed into selling the car. (For some reason she doesn't agree that the unlimited headroom offered by this car is truly infinitely practical!) I am a pre-owned owner. previous owner resided in the Hamptons. NY. When we bought the car. we had it checked for the frame damage which is a common concern on these cars. to our delight as was cleared and certified by a BMW dealer in the owner's area: paperwork available if requested. Even though there was no issue. we decided to fit the car with the "Performance Package" which not only improves the handling of the car. but also effectively solves the frame worries owners/ prospective buyers may have about the car. You can see the strut across the engine bay in the photos as well as the rings that are located on top of the strut towers. The car has really been kept in great condition. largely thanks to all the help out there from the "BMWZ8. us" forum on the internet. The car has had a new clutch installed at approximately 31. 00 miles by BMW Advantage Midtown in Houston. as well as all the servicing and oil changes it required (next oil is due in approximately 6750 miles). At the same location we also had the right taillight replaced. Over last few weeks the left taillight has begun to flicker inconsistently when signaling but recently it has stopped and now appears to be working in perfect order! Additionally. the stitching on the driver's seat is coming loose. Moreover. there are scratches on the gear knob and parking brake lever. Other than that. there is a few scratches on the centre console. but nothing that you wouldn't expect for a 14 year old car! Also. on the soft top roof. a small part of the exterior layer of the soft top is slightly pulling out of the attachment to the plastic rear window. however. the area is still water tight and it is possible to push it back in for a few weeks until it pops out again. Generally. the interior and exterior are in great condition. In my ownership. and I believe the previous ownership too. the car has always been parked in a garage when not in use. The car has not broken down on us in the past so far and does not appear to show any signs that it would do: it appears to be mechanically solid. The car has always been a delight to own and drive and I will truly miss having it. I have documentation for all the services and repairs we have completed on the car. Aside from that. it is an increasingly rare car and values appear to be going up and up over last few years (ideally I'd like to keep it and sell it a few years down the line but the wife does not approve. unfortunately). The accompanying hardtop and stand will come with the car. As well as these. I will throw in the car cover and a few bits and bobs. Note. two keys for the car. One key is a very presentable (not been used so it looks new) key. whereas the other is the key that is used frequently. Please contact if you have any questions or queries.
