This 7 Series has the rare rear seat package normally found only in the flagship 12 cylinder. This setup proves to be infinitely more practical due to the fuel efficiency gains of the V8 and the ridiculous deletion of the ice cooler in the trunk which frees up valuable trunk space. There is not a bad seat in this vehicle since every position is heated and cooled and can recline with both front seats massage function. I bought this vehicle for the most comfortable cross country cruiser to visit family on the west coast. The dilemma of a family sedan or sports car is simply solved by the push of a button. By selecting Sport EDC (Electronic Damping Control) the nature of the vehicle instantly changes and the vehicle responds by firming up the shock absorber setting, ncreasing the steering feedback and increasing the aggressiveness of the ARS (Active Roll Stabilizers), ransforming the character to a agile flingeable sports sedan. Even in this setting the ride is never harsh and simply has that magic BMW suspension tuning. What makes this such a legendary magic carpet ride is the ability to decouple the anti roll bars from each other and adjust the shocks on the fly. The same ability is present in the transmission which allows for sport and manumatic modes. This vehicle really shines on the highway having been bred at autobahn speeds.
