1958 BMW Isetta 300 For Sale @ Californiacar.com
1958 BMW Isetta 300 For Sale
This 1958 BMW is a sweet little car.
It is currently located in Miami Florida, ut it has a long California history.
The current owner bought it out of sunny So Cal just two years back.
It has been garaged and well kept and shows very well.
The restoration of the car was a full, very nut and bolt affair.
The body was removed from the frame, he engine and trans sent off to one of the highest authorities
on Isetta engines, nd the final assembly was done by a lifetime microcar expert.
The car was an extremely solid example prior to the restoration, t was never wrecked or rusty.
Minimal bodywork was needed, t was all stripped to bare metal, nd everything was done to a very nice quality.
All new wiring harness, ew seals and rubber, ll fresh interior, tc
Nice detail with the shift pattern and choke/heater control decals.
Inner body panels all treated with Dynamat for a much more solid feel on the road.
Matching spare tire and wheel.
All fresh padding in the seats, rames have been restored.
Everything new as far as tie rod ends and other details.
Not "over-restored", ut done as it would have been when new.
Fender wells and underbody were all painted nice and clean
New window rubber and filler trim
All glass is original
Very clean
Vinyl sunroof as original
One little pinch spot on the top cover
Interior is done in the proper colors and details
Looks great!
Drive unit was rebuilt
Material on the seats is German basket weave vinyl
All fresh window seals and gaskets
A little road grime underneath from minimal use.
Battery box is solid, rame was powder coated.
Very clean
New exhaust
All fresh hardware
In the corners in the rear, here the bumper overriders come in,
the metal above is prone to cracking (people like to grab those bumpers and lift the car)
so a weld was done under this weak spot to prevent this from happening.
All controls and hardware look fantastic
Bumpers and chrome are all excellent
The 300cc engine has less than 300 miles since a complete rebuild.
Clean title and current registration
Simple instrumentation and controls
Fuel cap
Chrome is excellent
Such a cute little car!
Runs and drives well
The paint scheme is correct and original to the car.
Open up and say "ahh!"
Excellent
Original body tag
A couple marks in the paint under the window sliders
Small flaw on the side panel.
Overall it is very clean inside and out.
This is one of motoring's most silly cars.
It is an absolute crowd pleaser wherever it goes.
Fun to drive and fun to look at...it is no wonder these cars are
so highly collectible. It is a ton of fun in a very small and happy package!
