Overall the car is in showroom condition - in person it looks like it just came off the factory line in Germany. The M50 sounds like a sewing machine, he cooling system never lets the temp gauge creep above middle even in the hottest of days, nd there are no clunks or weird noises anywhere while driving. This is by far the cleanest e36 I have ever seen and owned and I am confident that the next owner will sincerely appreciate what a fine example of an e36 this is.
History:
I bought this car 2 hours after the ad was posted on Craigslist. He was local, nd I had cash in hand. To make a long story short, e was a retired financier for Princeton BMW and had the car serviced regularly at Thompson BMW. His wife was the one that drove the car regularly, however she was in need of surgery on her left knee so she could no longer operate a manual trans. The car was garaged whenever it wasn't being driven in their carriage house they had at the end of the driveway under a BMW car cover. He didn't care for it anymore, nd sold it on CL for some extra cash.
The only thing the car needed were two front struts since they were original and over the years lost their durability. I replaced the suspension with a set of Rokkor coilovers that have been awesome thus far. Other than that, he car is completely stock. The previous owner had it inspected until 11/15, ut new Yokohoma tires on, ew rotors and pads, new convertible top, and did the cooling system overhaul around 52,000 miles (WP, stat, rad, nd hoses). I still have the old suspension and will include it in the sale in case the next owner wants to return it to the stock height. The rear shocks are perfectly fine - the two front struts were the problem children - I still have all four springs and rear shocks. If you want an OE quality ride then I would recommend buying the Sachs OE struts - I will adjust the price accordingly if this is the buyer's wish.
Everything, nd I mean everything, orks on this car. It even has every tool still in the trunk compartment (pic below). I honestly have never seen an e36 in this condition being this close to stock - it is truly a pristine example.
Please do not hesitate to contact me. Clean title in my name. You will not find another e36 this close to stock, n this condition, nd with this healthy of a history. Please contact me with a phone call or a text saying you are interested with cash in hand, or please do not contact me at all - that is all I ask (unless you have a question that isn't already answered here). I work 9-5 Monday thru Friday and can show the car anytime on weekends. My number is 215-768-304three.
