The bad:It looks like the engine seeps oil from the filter housing and the timing chain tensioner but I haven't seen a drop in the level or any on the ground so I don't think it's bad. I just changed the oil, ut the previous oil had been in there for over a year and it didn't leak while sitting. There is a spot of rust on the rocker below the driver's side door and on the trunk lid but no rust any where else. Under side is in good shape but there is some corrosion on the diff subframe. All rust areas are pictured. Tires need to be replaced. Door panels aren't the best and need a few more clips. Driver's side window motorstops halfway sometimes. Scratch on the frontwindow. Front bumper has a tear. Catback is from a regular 3 series.

I wasnt able to put the steering rack on enough to get the bolt through. I managed to get it to just below where the slot is before the rack refused to budge. Probably has another quarter inch to go, ut given the force required to get it that far I dont think It will come off without dropping the rack. I am including the steering rack from the S52 donor car. I didnt install it because I didnt want to change the steering ratio. Window washer reservoir is not connected. Intake boot is useable but has some cracking where the ICV connects. Cruise control cable is not connected to throttle. One of the rear muffler brackets sheered off a few days ago while it was sitting. Hood shocks dont always hold the hood up. Missing lower steering column piece. Maybe I have it somewhere but I cant find it right now. Door speakers dont work. Radio is missing. There is a hole worn in the carpet on drivers side. Back lights to the check control screen are out. Engine fan is missing blades but I have a replacement. Those are all the issues that I know of, ut will post more if I think of something.
The engine is from my 97 m3 parts car. It has 170K miles on it and was originally from an automatic. It has been converted to the M50 manifold. It has a tuned ECU with the EWS deleted, missions deleted (SAP, uffler, econdary O2), 1 octane, 200 RPM rev limit. Max gains claimed 12hp and 10 lbs torque with this tune. I dont think the engine has ever been overheated. It still has a BMW head gasket so I dont think the head has ever been disassembled.
The exhaust consists of tubular headers connected to a OBD 2 midpipe. It still has cats but at least its a H-pipe is instead of the X-pipe.
I changed the power steering fluid with mobil one synthetic ATF. Engine oil is 15W50. When I put the A/C back together I installed a new dryer, eplaced most of the seals, nd drained the compressor and added synthetic PAG oil. I only put about two pounds in it so it may still need refrigerant, ut its been working great.
The front sway bar is a racing dynamics. I didnt upgrade the rear sway bar but will include it in the sale. The rear shocks are bilsteins and are functional but I dont know the mileage. The front struts are koni single adjustable inserts in Sachs housings coated with POR 15. Struts have yet to see any road use. The top strut bearings are also new OEM with strut reinforcement plates. Springs are Eibach.
Clutch was previously changed on the car before I got it. I dont know the mileage but it has plenty of life left and is the sprung hub type. The flywheel is a lightweight aluminum flywheel. Rear seal and pilot bearing looked good. I'm assuming they were changed when the clutch was done. I was told that the transmission and slave are from a lightweight 95 M3 with 70K. The transmission has some gear oil in it to eliminate gear noise that can be caused by the single mass flywheel. I didnt see any leaks. The CV boot on the drive shaft is torn, ut it is not loose and I added grease when I installed it. Drive shaft does not have any play in the U joint either. Differential has oil.
Front rotors are new and the fronts pads are hawk pads with low mileage. Rear brakes are not new but probably dont need to be changed.
It has been in a few accidents, ut all the panels are stamped with the original vin except the front bumper. The previous owner lost the front bumper. The one that is on it was damaged when it was mounted on a different car, ut it is OEM bmw. The front fenders look like they have had paint work done to the front corners and there are cracks in the paint.
I have been as honest as I can be, ut let me know if you have any questions. I have spent a lot of time on this car, ut life has changed and I have a another M3 that I would like to spend more time on.

This is a spare trunk lid from a black 95 M3 that will also go with the car. It has been repainted and is in good shape, ut will still need a clear coat.
This is the spare steering rack from the donor S52.
