Please see the 2nd picture as this is the original window sticker and will provide you with a complete rundown of the options and costs associated with these at the time the car was new. MSRP was $69180!! I will start the bidding at just 10% of that price. WOW that hurts a little...
A little history... For those of you that are looking at other 545i's and the seller says, never had a problem" or "super reliable", UN!!! These cars are wonderful drivers, ut that doesn't mean that they don't come with some items that tend to need to be replaced between 80k and 100k miles. I would say that I have replaced and fixed 95% of those issues, o when you get this car you know you are getting one that drives well and has some of the major issues resolved.
I purchased the car in October 2012 with 82k miles right here on Ebay. So it is only fitting that I sell it on Ebay as well. Along with the car you will get all the manuals, indow sticker and 3 ring binder that I have kept the entire time I have owned it.
Please see below. The answers to some common questions and items that have been replaced, tc... Thanks
I will try to give you complete of a history as possible. First to answer your questions.

Doesit have the self leveling suspension? Heck NO! Ha what it does have is Active Cornering Stabilization. What that basically does is twist the sway bars in order to prevent body roll on tight cornering. Much better than SLS and works very well. No issues. Runs through the power steering hydraulic fluid ultimately as do most of the cars systems. Any information on prior ownership and maintenance records? No. It had two previous owners. I purchased the car 10/9/12 from a dealership in Florida. Florida Auto Connection with 82,710 miles I of course saved all the ppw and have a 3 ring binder that I have maintained for the car upon arrival. . You could tell that the car had NOT been abused, owever it seemed to me that they were the type that didn't do much in regards to preventative maintenance. The oil looked good when I got the car, lthough immediately upon getting it I changed the oil to look for metal shavings and flushed the power steering/hydraulic system, rake fluid and coolant. The car runs at a high temp (a little over 220 degrees F. So it requires care when dealing with gaskets and hoses. I have replaced the majority of the coolant and heater hoses, oolant overflow box and vacuum lines. While the vacuum pump line recall has not been completed according to official records, about 90 days ago, emoved the vacuum pump in order to get to the oil pressure switch that was leaking oil, eplaced that and since I have the vacuum pump off I went ahead and resealed it and replaced the hose that runs from the brake booster to the vacuum pump which effectively solves the possible recall issue that BMW had with this. How about the clutch delay valve ... still in place? Yes it is still in place. I was actually planning on removing when I had Poudre Sports Car replace the clutch, ut totally spaced it. How about the exhaust system? Stock and in good shape. I at one point was going to get an aftermarket, ut honestly I really like the sound of it the way it is, o I figured I would dump more money in to my old E28 that I love so much. Drive shaft balance and condition ? No issues as far as I know or can feel. Anything else feel free to add. The car is pretty sweet. I have put a lot of money in to the car and have appreciated it the whole way regardless....ha. I will give you a run down of what has been replaced over the 20k miles I put on the car. Not including oil changes although those were done with Royal Purple every 4-5k miles. And coolant which I have flushed and replaced twice. All work on the car has been performed at Poudre Sports Car in Fort Collins, lthough I personally have done some of the smaller stuff.
1. Aux water pump Replaced by PSC2. Alternator bracket gasket. (Common expensive oil leak on these cars. $2 gasket with $800 labor at the dealership...)3. Engine Encapsulator- Basically just the large undercarriage cover.4. Main Heater Hose running from Aux water pump5. Battery6. Alternator and Voltage Regulator7. Vacuum Lines8. Brake booster vacuum line to pump.9. Clutch at 95k miles10. Coolant Overflow box and hoses11. Main coolant hose from Radiator12. Front rotors and pads13. Sway bar links14. Brand New Tires and an extra set of Dunlop OEM rears with about 85% tread. Tires have around 2500 miles on them.
Im sure there are other small things, ut overall the car is 11 years old, o it isn't without little dings, hips, tc... The headlights given the age probably need replacement if you want the car to be absolutely perfect due to the wires and the insulation chipping off and shorting out. I have taken the time to re-insulate nearly all of them which I can tell you is an absolute pain and the front windshield is cracked now which just happened over the last week or so... Ultimately it is a drivers car that will always need a little something.... The little issues come and go, hich is one of the reasons I have listed it so low in regards to sales price. These cars can be expensive to own and operate, o it allows someone to get in the car and really step up the performance if they so choose.
