2001 BMW E39 M5

Up for sale is my CarbonSchwarz metallic M5 featuring a two tone leather interior and 6 speed manual transmission.

Build:

This vehicle has been passed around in my local BMW community as a token of what the E39 should be. Currently, t is built as more of a show car, s that is how it is driven also. The ride height is at a medium level currenly, nd can be dropped possibly another inch all around with only minor rubbing. The Bridgestone Pole-Position tires are squared 275/35/19 all around on the 18x9.5 wheels.

Maintenance:

• Oil changed every 6k miles with Liquimoly 10w50.
• Driveshaft and Center Bearing replaced 1,000 miles ago
• Fuel pump replaced last year
• Heater fuse replaced last year
• Original Spare Wheel with Fresh Bridgestone Tire in Trunk

Car has been serviced as needed, ncluding ceramic brake pads, lotted rotors, ood sensors, tc. Recently haven't had time to replace the center cupholder assembly, t works as usual but the sliding door that hides the pop-up cupholder is stuck in open position (See Pictures). Otherwise, nything that has gone wrong with the vehicle or has shown signs of wear has been replaced, nd car throws no check engine lights. Note: I recently went to 3 of my local BMW indie shops to get the vehicle inspected. With 160k miles on the original engine, nly 2 cylinders show a compression of 140psi, hile the rest maintain 160psi, nd a light rattle from the engine was found to be slack in the camshaft chain in the right bank. After a fresh oil change the noise subsides, nd there is no excessive wear on the guides, o it has no effect on vehicle reliability, ut could be quieter if the chain is replaced. Otherwise, ehicle makes no unusual noises, nd the full inspections came up clean.

Extra Details:

This vehicle has seen an autocross pad once, as been to Sebring for a couple laps, nd has been to the drag strip once. All this spanned out over the 5 years I have owned the vehicle. But as an M5, t deserves to be occasionally driven to be enjoyed. The motor pulls strong, nd the factory clutch hasn’t shown any signs of significant wear, lthough it is due to be replaced due to the mileage. The body has been garage kept most of its life, s the original paint still has a beautiful shine, nd unique metallic coloring that changes between night and day. Vehicle maintains an OEM+ feels during driving, lthough with the straight pipes it most definitely sounds like one of BMW’s best V8 motors. The interior combination of OEM Aluminum trim with the original Le-Mans blue and black leather seats in pristine condition make this a hard to come by model, s the original owner spared no expense when ordering from the factory. It has the most premium M5 experience, ruising through the city streets with the windows up and quality sound system, r having a rip up the mountains to test the skills of the driver and the car.
