Up for sale is a 1953 GMC 2 Ton Flatbed truck. It was purchased as a small project but I never had the time, oney, r space to do it.
Mechanical-
The truck is very sound. It shifts through ever gear solidly and the clutch doesn't slip what so ever. The Pneumatic 2 speed rear end shifts flawlessly as well. This truck is also equiped with working PTO. The engine also starts up every time without any struggle and idles wonderful for its age.
Body-
Overall the truck is extremely solid and that is why I purchased it. It is a fantastic truck to start off with and or keep it the same being that the small spots are nothing to even be concerned about. The cab corners are as solid as a rock. The floor is overall very solid except one spot next to the drivers feet. There is also one other small spot underneath the drivers side door bottom hinge. The Last spot I have spotted a little rust on the inner fender well of the left front fender. Other than that the truck is very solid and a great starting point for a project to keep it original. All lights work as well. From brake lights, aillights, urn signals, nd the dimmer switch.
I hate to get rid of this truck but I just do not have the time or money to do what I wanted to do. I purchased this truck for probably close to the same reason why you are looking at this truck. It is a solid and clean truck and you will not be disappointed with it. Any questions, lease feel free to message me.
