Description

This is a restored 1966 Mustang Convertible C-code automatic with a 289 4bbl and P/S. This car was restored in 2003-2004 by the previous owner. At that time the engine was tuned up, aybe even rebuilt, he C-4 transmission was replaced, new Holley 4bbl added. The power top was replaced and a show quality paint job was done.Data plate matches VIN under hood. Paint is beautiful but there are a couple of small flaws in it (see link to pictures). The interior was completely replaced with the Pony interior package including a walnut steering wheel. Old AM radio remains but does not work but there is a radio/cd in the glove compartment. This car has what appears to be the original dealer added A/C and I replaced the old York compressor with a new rotary compressor with RU-134 coolant. A/C is really cold. A new 3-core radiator keeps it cool. The floor pans are solid and I am not sure if they were replaced or just good original pans. I cannot find where they were welded in if they are new but they are solid. Frame and body apparently had some rust but that has been mitigated. Fuel tank and lines were replaced. All new dual exhaust was installed. I added new styled steel wheels. Also pertronix module added to distributor with Ignitor II coil for faster starts and stronger engine. Recently replaced water pump while on a trip. Just replaced the windshield and windshield weatherstripping. Washer motor and bag new but not sure it is working. Ebay required a mileage to be shown but actual mileage is unknown. We have taken this car on many trips and it has always given us a great time. On many occasions the hotel staff has given us preferential parking because of how the car looks. Just be prepared to answer a lot of questions when you stop somewhere.
