For sale is a 1987 Ford F-250 Lariat XLT 4x4. The truck has 185,000 miles on the body but only around 85,000 on the engine and transmission which were replaced when the truck turned 100k. The engine is a 460 big block with a Holley 4 barrel carb and a mild cam. The engine also features a MSD ignition, et coated headers, nd a pre-lube oil pump. Other notable features include a Gear Vendors under/over drive, ancho air suspension, RB air locking differentials (front and rear). Warn locking hubs, pdated and rebuiltheavy duty front end, DO gauges, adderbars, nd a stainless exhaust system. The interior has all power options,is leather, nd shows very well. It is free from any rips or tears. Overall this truck is in excellent condition, ith exception to the 2 small rust spots on both sides of the cab (see pictures). Otherwise it has dents or dings you would expect. It was garage kept for the majority of its life. The rims shown on the vehicle are classic 16.5 American Racing - the tires are US Military 16.5 x 37" GOOD YEAR WRANGLERS. As you might know you can not get tires for half size rims easily if at all. But it so happens US Military H1 vehicles use theses size tires. I was able to purchase them from a surplus dealer as when the H1 vehicles return from overseas they must be fitted with new tires and you can purchase the ones removed from the hummers at surplus vendors. At least I was able to a few years ago, nd these tires still have a good amount of beef on them. No worries though a set of MOTO-METAL 17" rims (see pictures) fitted with super swamper tires are INCLUDED IN SALE. What I do is in the warmer months I put on the MOTO-METAL RIMS. In the colder months I use the 16.5" with the military tires in the event of snow as to keep wear on the military tires minimal, xtending their life. The MOTO METAL set have tread as you can see but they are fine for normal road use. So when you need to get new tires or want new tires you can for the moto metal 17's with ease. On the road the truck is very tight and is an absolute beast. Also, he truck has a valid NJ inspection until 9/17 (see pictures). A lot of time and money was spent on this truck and it shows better then most trucks half its age. I have had the truck about 6 years now and it ALWAYS was maintained and even small issues resolved. I have spent a great deal of money on this truck and it is driven regularly and never sits a few days without me starting it and checking it out. I LOVE THIS TRUCK, T IS FORD TOUGH. You can do things with this truck you would never imagine. This truck has taken me through the roughest conditions and never failed. I hate to see it go but I have moved on and sold most of my property that I used this truck to help me maintain. The worst snow falls and Hurricane Sandy even were no match for this truck and it has proved invaluable. I can not recall the truck not starting except a few times. I love trucks like this because if you have an issue it is normally only SPARK or FUEL. New trucks are so expensive and you can't work on them - everything is a computer. This beast is a classic and perfect if you want a reliable, owerful, ong bed truck that can carry 5 people with ease. I have receipts and you can speak to the mechanic who has maintained the truck since I got it if you like. Please contact me with any questions or concerns. The truck is available in Point Pleasant Beach NJ for inspection and to take her for a drive. The oil is changed every 3 months as I rarely do the mileage to justify changing it. Every winter a cold weather service is done, adiator flush etc. The radiator is only 3 years old. Alternator, tarter, SD, attery all new in the last 2 years and have receipts. *** AS OF JANUARY 28, 016 - Had a pretty vicious snow storm here and as always my girl was FORD TOUGH. Some coastal flooding added to freezing temps and 2 feet of snow here was no match. Used the four-wheel drive, lso in low and differential locks. All check out. Pulled a few cars with tow straps out of the muck with ease, uperior traction in horrible conditions and big power.
