Do not be fooled - I'm making this abundantly clear: this car has a little over 140k original well cared for miles and barely 27k miles on a proactive, ngine-out rebuild.
This is a numbered, are vehicle of limited production. As close to the M8 as you will find on the road, he CSi was the company flagship of the nineties. This 1995 BMW 850CSi is a stock looking sleeper with the original 12-cylinder S/70 engine. The car is well sorted, eliable, nd very fast. The car has never been repainted, xcept for a past front bumper re-pray, nd there is no evidence of any rust or prior accident repair. The engine is further modified with Schrick camshafts, eaders, nd larger throttle bodies. The suspension and brakes have been upgraded to match the increased power. This looks like a cool super coupe with a great look and nicely executed performance modifications.
The interior sports a few highly desirable and tastefully executed cosmetic touches. Everything is reversible. The dashboard is in excellent condition and the steering wheel has been upgraded to a handsome MTech 3-spoke wheel. A short shifter is also installed. All gauges, arning lights, nd other electronics are fully functional.
Under the hood the S/70 V-12 installation looks very tidy. The engine was rebuilt 27k miles ago and includes a number of upgrades that improve performance from stock including Schrick camshafts, eaders, ider throttle bodies (3mm), pgraded intake manifolds, nd a DINAN computer chip. The most recent Mustang Dyno results in December 2015 were 362 RWHP translating to approximately 433hp at the crank. More importantly, he torque curve is flat as a table - there is lots of grunt in any gear at any speed. The car feels stronger than any CSi out there and will outrun any stock 850CSi with ease.
The suspension has been upgraded with Eibach springs, ront and rear Greg-K sway bars are installed, nd all suspension bushings have been recently replaced. Brake pads and rotors have plenty of life left, pper Wokke-built spherical control arms are recent. The differential is a 3.45 ratio unit upgraded to 50% lock. There are no warning lights of any kind.
Back in 2004, t wasall over the Internet, ll about the great work the previous owner (Greg Tessier) had commissioned Bullet Performance to do on this car. Bullet Performance essentially took the whole car apart, eplaced anything that needed it, nd put in key sleeper performance mods that took this CSi to the next level. This is one of the best documented, leanest 850CSis in the US and is in excellent condition inside and out. A recent smoke test in October 2015 revealed absolutely NO leaks in the case or intake. The interior smells like new,has never been smoked in and has been adult driven only.
This car turns heads everywhere it goes, nd has a commanding presence about it, specially the wonderful Spitfire whine of the starter. This is a California driver's car, lways garaged, ever exposed to snow. CSi values in general will exceed six figures before too long.
The combination of near-stock looks with seriously enhanced performance in this car is compelling, nd the quality of the engine rebuild and overall upkeep shows impressive attention to detail. This car has been detailed inBIMMER Magazinetwice (in2005and in2015)and won numerous awards, ncludingBest in Meetat the 2014SoCal Vintage BMWmeet in Los Angeles.
