Description

Up for sale is a 2000 BMW 740i sport. I bought it in 2010 with 125k miles. Been commuting with it to Baltimore. Love the car. a very great car to drive but I have an opportunity to own another love of mine (classic muscle) so I'm hoping to swap :) EDIT: After posting the ad. I was looking at it and realized the pictures were taken prior to my having the rockers painted. The lower black trim around the car is now body color as it would be in a 2001 model year. Features:Power steeringPower brakesDynamic stability controlCruise controlSunroofDash prewired for Dice MediaBridge USB audioUpgraded to MKIV DVD NAV systemUpgraded to 16:9 widescreen LCDSmoked sidemarkers/cornersUpgraded to 2001 style tail lensesTrunk lip spoiler35% window tintSport exhaustDebadgedDinan sport engine softwareI have angel eyes somewhere in my basement I believe. they will go with the car if you care to install themIt has a full size M-parallel spare tireSport Package equipped which gives:18 way adjustable power heated sport seatsBlacked out exterior trim18" M-Parallel staggered sport wheelsVavona redwood trimThicker front/rear sway barsSteptronic automatic transmission3. 15 final driveHigher stall speed torque converterI have it serviced at a local dealer-trained indy. and have a bunch of service documentation back to 2010. The mods list sounds like it's owned by a kid (spoiler. tint. debadging. etc) but I'm a 40 year old who knows how to not beat the pi$$ out of his car. I just like a certain aesthetic :) Being an old BMW. it does have its share of "personality". Here is the bad list:Rear driver side window regulator broken. Window is fixed in the closed positionVarious dings and scratches on the body - this is a daily driver. not a trailer queenSecondary air pump died recently and I replaced it with a used one. This used one works. but sometimes it sounds like a freaking vacuum cleaner - real loudFog lights are not working. I converted them to HID. but the cheap HID kit I had used sucked. Ordered a new kit. just did not install yet. New kit will come with the carThe MKIV spazzes out in cold weather. Works fine in the summer. but almost never works right in the winterIt has a Dice MediaBridge. but it stopped working. No idea why. The MB replaced the changer and the changer was sold. so right now it has no disc supportIt drips oil. I believe it needs a rear seal. It's not a big leak. I usually have to put a little oil in once a monthDriver side rear tire needs to be replacedUnder hood sound insulation has been removed. I have the piece and was going to put it in. but lost the fastenersThe battery in the key is shot. the remote only works when it feels like it. Key works fine in the door/ign of course. it's just the remote functionality that doesn't workThe airbag light is on. Indy said I need an airbag module. I'll probably have that ordered and in by the time the auction closes. but no promisesI've detailed the status of the car to the best of my ability. That said. it's being sold with no warranty express or implied. I'll be straight up with you - do not buy a 15 year old BMW if you cannot afford maintenance. These cars are cheap to buy but pricey to own.
