BMW 2002 Race / Rally Car, M10, fuel injected

This is a 1969 BMW 2002 race car. It was originally built up as a road race car and then was modified to meet rally specifications and run the Targa Newfoundland event which it has run in twice. At the last Targa event it ran the car was in second place on day 4 of the event when it lost an oil line and damaged the engine so was unable to finish. Since that event the engine has been completely rebuilt and has dyno and testing time only on it. It has been sitting in dry heated storage since 2013 and started regularly with occasional short trips around town for exercise but has not been raced or rallied since it was freshened. The car does have a Washington state title and is street registered. Paint and overall body is in good condition. The engine runs very strong and smooth with the fuel injection and the upgraded E30 gearbox makes it a very reliable package. It was built and dyno tuned to run on pump gas. Since it was built to run the Targa events it has working heat/defrost, ipers, indow washers, urn signals, orn, tc. to be road legal. Ready to race or rally or just have some fun on the street.
