Description

Excellent condition, echanically stock, 997 BMW E36 M3 sedan. Only 106k miles, utomatic transmission. Arctic Silver exterior with a Black Nappa leather interior. Manual front sport seats with BMW M-stripes.
Usual assortment of features, ith the addition of heated seats & mirrors, he full 18-button on board computer, ruise control, unroof, nd pre-wiring for the CD changer in the trunk. Owned by long-term BMW CCA/MBCA/PCA member with lots of other German cars. This has been my nice-day car, nd to make sure I always had something to drive that was reliable and always worked.
I bought the car in December 2012 from a local Washington DC seller with 101k miles. While I have owned it the car has been maintained by me or one of the best local BMW independent shops, BS in Alexandria, irginia.
Excellent mechanical condition. I fixed a lot of the E36 failure points, s well as did a lot of normal maintenance. That included an all new cooling system (hoses, adiator, ater pump, hermostat, tc.), elts/tensioners, ront brake pads, apor expansion tank and pressure sensor, uel injectors, gnition coils, ear shocks, 2 sensors, uel pump, nd replacement of all fluids (engine oil, ransmission, iff, ower steering). Car runs and drives very well.
For those of you who sniff at this car having an automatic transmission instead of a manual, understand…..but if you haven’t driven one, ou might be surprised by how well it works in the car (especially in DC traffic). This is coming from someone who has owned many BMWs with manual transmissions (including my current M coupe). 98% of the time I love having the automatic; the other 2% of the time I miss the manual, ut I get over it pretty quickly.
Interior is very clean; no rips or tears, verything looks very nice. Very little bolster wear on driver’s seat. Door panels are in nice condition. This car does not have the Luxury Package, ut I did add some items from that package: the wood trim on the dash on the passenger side, round the shifter, nd inside the storage box in the console. It also has a wooden shifter from a BMW E39. The wooden trim pieces add some nice warmth to the all-black interior, ut you can change it all back to stock in about 10 minutes if you want (I have the original pieces).
The only other non-stock piece is the stereo; it was updated to a Sony head unit with more modern amenities like Bluetooth and USB/iPod connections (speakers are stock). The display is color-matched to the other instruments so it does not stick out. Again, ou can return it to all stock very quickly if you want, nd I have the original stereo.
Body is clean with no dents, ings or rust. No known accidents. Minor wear and tear commensurate with age and mileage. All body VIN stickers are in place (doors/trunk/hood). Wheels are stock M Double Spoke II (Style 39), nd although they are clean and straight they are cosmetically only average.
If you look closely you will notice it has standard E36 external mirrors (in black), hich I put on because I didn't think the M3 ones provide enough visibility. Car will be sold with the stock M3 mirrors; I forgot to replace them before taking pictures.
I have a clean title in my name.
