A near-perfect example of a BMW e46 330i sedan owned by a long-time BMW enthusiast and automotive writer. Car featuresdesirable5-speed,Sport Package, ith sport seats, -spoke steering wheel, nd staggered M-style wheels. But..and this is key...it does NOT have the Premium package -- meaning less electric gizmos to fail. 30 mph cruising at 75 mph.
Upgrades and new stuff:
Shocks & springs (for FK Streetline X coilovers, djustable ride height and dampening/stiffness)New front control arm bushings - a weak point. (stock replacement parts)New rear top shock mounts - a weak pointBavarian Auto swaybars, and RNew swaybar endlinks, and RNew cabin air micro filterNew valve cover gasket (a weak point and cause of oil leaksNew spark plugsNew passenger-side front door mid-range speaker (the smallish round one)Redline MTL in gearbox; new Redline gear oil in differentialNew correct size rear tires (previous owner installed same the size all the way around); meaning - you get an extra set of front tires!New fuel pump relay (had odd intermittent start problem, ixed by new FP relay).New fuel pump -- in the box, n the trunk, eady for replacement! I take no chances on being stranded. (Note: e46 fuel pumps can be changed easily in 15-30 minutes, ith basic tools. BMW made access easy under rear seat.)
It basically looks like a new car. I believe E46 BMWs -- 3 series from 1999-2005 -- are the best ever made. All the new ones are way more complicated electronically and expensive to maintain. My
