The 630csi was the first E24 imported into the U.S. (in 1976). The price was very high - over $80,000 in today's money - and it turned heads and created a generation of BMW enthusiasts. Only 410 630csi cars were imported in 1976, nd only 1,384 were imported in 1977. And that's it; beginning in 1978 it was on to the much-more-common 633csi.
This car is one of only 714 4-speed manual transmission cars imported. It's history is impeccable. This was the very car that Car and Driver test drove for it's cover-story review in 1977. It's first owner was Marvin Peterson, he founder of the only BMW dealership in Boise, daho. The car has had only three mature owners, t has been garaged it's entire life, nd has even had the same mechanic work on the car since new! There is no better pedigree, nd there is no better 630csi to be found anywhere.
This car drives exactly as it should. It's the best example from the best years of BMW road-feel and engineering. It's fresh, owerful, nimble, ith fantastic exhaust notes.
The car is 100% original with the exception of sound system (modern). The wheels are the original Alpina wheels and have just been refurbished to perfect. Leather interior is new and correctly done. It is mechanically perfect, and needs nothing. It is completely rust-free and drip-free. Window and door seals are fresh and soft.
I would drive this car across country, t 120 mph if I could get away with it. It's a joy to drive.
Alternator is new, rake rotors are new, nterior is new, aint is original color (but a repaint in very good condition), ires are factory correct and new. It's ready to be driven and enjoyed; and held as an appreciating collectible car.
