I have for sale a very rare RIGHT HAND DRIVE 1975 BMW 2002Tii Lux edition. Non-sunroof or slicktop as they call them.
They only made 363 RHD Tii's in 75 and who knows how few of these were Lux models. This was originally a British delivery car and was delivered in London on July 22nd, 1975 as per the attached letter from BMW.
This particular car was originally granite red metallic and was painted silver many years ago.
It is numbers matching, chassis #2771089 is stamped in the chassis and on the motor.
Mileage reads 41860 and is believed to be accurate. At least judging by the wear on the interior. The original carpets are in great shape, the pedals don't show tons of use, etc.
The interior is in good shape. Although the sun took its toll on the vinyl parts of the seats. the dash has some cracks. the headliner is in good shape. being that this is a lux model, it has the wood trim and map pockets on the doors. It does not however have the fold down arm rest on the back seat. Not sure why.
The body is straight. there are some rust bubbles here and there. no major rust though. the shock towers are original and solid. the spare tire well is not rusted. the frame rails are also solid. the worst of it is on the front of the driver side rocker. also on the passenger side floor there is a hole which someone tried to patch with some fiberglass. nothing major though and an easy fix. The fuel tank will need to be resealed. If you put too much gas it seeps through the seam mid-way up.
The matching number engine runs strong. the power really kicks in as the revs go up. the 4 speed transmission shifts well.
The wheels are original and will need new tires as they are old. I do not have a spare though
This car deserves a restoration. you could drive it as is and consider it a driving resto.
Here is a list of recent work that has been performed to get the car road worthy:
Replace spark plug wires Replace dist. cap and rotar & Points Replace spark plug connectors Compression test Replace fuel tank pick up screen Replace fuel pump Replace fuel hoses and filter Replace rear muffler Replace drive shaft carrier bearing Replace clutch slave cylinder and bleed clutch Replace right front wheel bearings Replace wiper blades Replace center tie rod assembly link Replace rear brake wheel cylinders Replace front calipers Replace front brake hoses (4) Rebuild brake boosters (2) Replace motor mounts Replace transmission mount Replace radiator fan Replace vacuum booster hose and clamps Replace brake fluid reservoir and hoses Replace AC control knobs Replace positive battery terminal Replace Battery Replace air filters (2)The car is located in Hollywood, FL. I welcome you to come and take a look at it for yourself.
$500 Deposit is due within 24 hours of committing to buy and full payment within 7 days.
Thanks for looking
