Offered for sale. 2001 BMW 740il sedan E38. Rare color combination white/gray. Clean title, California vehicle. Technician owned. Vehicle is loaded with options including heated seats, and S-EDC (adjustable suspension damping) Body has 190K miles.
I bought this car with a broken timing chain. I then purchased an engine and transmission from a wrecked vehicle that had 118K miles. Prior to installing the replacement drivetrain I replaced, water pump, thermostat, valley cover, upper timing cover seals, VANOS solenoid seals, timing chain tensioner, resealed left engine mount bracket, lower oil pan gasket, crankcase vent valve, valve cover gaskets, radiator, expansion tank. The alternator, power steering hoses, and throttle body were replaced within the last 20K miles. The front and rear brakes were recently replaced. There are no leaks, at all.
The car have never been wrecked, paint is in great shape. There are minor chips and a few minor dings. Interior is in great shape, and has never been smoked in. There are no stains on the carpets. Glove box latch and front cup holder do not work. All electrical systems and options work properly.
This is a great example of the last year of the best looking 7 series made in a rare color combination. Vehicle has had all of the common issues recently addressed and is ready for many miles of trouble free use.The carfax shows one incident. The car was never been in a collision. The hood was damaged from something being dropped on it, and was repaired by the insurance company at that time resulting in the carfax record. Inspections are welcome. Contact for more pictures and a drive video. Vehicle is sold as in where is, buyer responsible for shipping
