The M3 convertible was only made in 1998 and 1999 so it rapidly becomes a collector car.. get one while they are still reasonable .. My car is an outstanding example of a well cared for M3 that will drive for many more years ..You can buy cheaper M3"s but you often end up putting a new top $1800, new brakes ( $1200, new radiator ($900) and various other upgrades ..it all ends up to the same value ... Since purchasing I have replaced the top with the best possible canvas, then rebuilt every drive unit in the top control to get it working nearly perfectly .. The car has new rear brakes last year and new front a few weeks ago.. all with ceramic pads to provide great braking and eliminate brake dust that makes your wheels look dirty all the time .. The radiator and all hoses were replaced a few months ago.. Equipped with UUC performance exhaust this M3 growls a delightful German growl as you step on the gas plus it is free flowing exhaust adding a few HP's to the 240 already available.. This just might be the best sounding M3 in LA .. The UUC short shifter brings the shift pattern to a nice cris, shor, and clean pattern making the manual transmission a pleasure to drive .... The rear fenders have a 1" flare to allow over width tires on the rear if you want the more muscular look .. right now it has Bridgestone run flats on the rear and Bridgestone Potenza up front.. all with at least 50% tread .. Minor parking lot accident resulted in grill and headlight damage last year resulting in the other party paying for a new grill and all the underlying supports as well as a headlight upgrade ..no more faded lenses ... Overall a fun car to drive and very solid ride with few rattles .. just replaced the camshaft sensor as well selling as girlfriend has trouble with standard transmissions ..
