I’m THRILLED to offer for sale this beautiful 1998 BMW 750IL Sedan. It has been meticulously cared for, drives like a DREAM and looks absolutely stunning in the BMW Biarritz Blue on Sand Beige Leather. Let’s dive right into this extra clean example.

Background:

Let me begin with a little background. This 2 owner BMW was purchased by its current owner in June of 1999 from Beverly Hills BMW and since then has spent its entire life in sunny, dry Southern California. Enthusiast owned - owner has had over 5 BMW’s in his lifetime. Meticulously serviced its entire life at Beverly Hills BMW and Stuttgart Automotive in Santa Monica. We have a packet of service documents with records of over $15k in recent maintenance. This is a no stories(no accidents/clean title)example that has been garaged the majority of its life.

The Condition and Service:

Let's start on the engine and drivetrain:

-ENGINE

This 5.4L V-12 produces 322hp and has relatively low miles, only 129,950 miles appearing on the odometer though the car shows as one with half of that. The engine is very healthy and has loads of smooth, torquey power! Even with a small crack of the throttle, the 750iL pulls away effortlessly. Really, a wonderful touring luxury car experience. No check engine lights, no service due, no knocks, ticks, bangs or issues!. Just smooth BMW power! Apparently BMW put a lot of engineering effort into these V-12 engines and they are pretty much bulletproof. It was BMW's flagship model in 1998.

-TRANSMISSION

The 5 speed automatic transmission shifts smoothly, no delays, no odd gear shifts, holding gears or errors! Manual, ASC, and Sport modes all work.

-SUSPENSION & BRAKES

No bangs, no rough ride, no clunks! The shocks dampen wonderfully! The car is very tight in corners, and comfortable on the straights! The brakes have confident pedal, great pressure with a firm positive stop. Rear brakes replaced at 120,911. Fronts serviced at 120,513.

-STEERING

Steering is tight, aligned nicely, doesn't pull and weights up nicely at speed. No dead spots or play.

Let's continue to the Exterior:

-PAINT and BODY

The paint is really quite nice! It all appears to be all original and has a quite a nice shine, finished and waxed by a highly acclaimed detailer here in LA. CLEAN and CLEAR CarFax.

NO ACCIDENTS. There are a few scrapes on the bottom of the front bumper from some low driveways/speed bumps, a small couple chips on the front bumper area, minor scratches on the doors and a few minor flaws on the rear bumper. Especially on the blue they are particularly hard to see and certainly do not take away from the overall beauty of the car. Still way above average for a 100k + mileage 18 year old car!

-TIRES

The Michelin Premier S tires are in great shape. 50% tread left on 3 and one recently replaced with 90% tread left.

-WHEELS

The OEM BMW luxury style 16” wheels are clean for their age. Only very minor curb marks on the passenger side wheels. Check pictures.

-GLASS

The windshield is great shape, with no chips or sandblasting. It is clear glass that makes a world of difference. The door and rear glass are in wonderful shape. For example, it has break-resistant glass. You can come up to the side of a 750iL and hit the glass with a hammer and the glass will hold up.

Note: The rear drivers and front passenger windows do have so tint coloration issues in the glass. This is a common cosmetic issue on these 7 Series and evident in the pictures.

-LIGHTS

Xenon headlights light up bright and all exterior lights work perfect!

On to the Cabin:

-SEATS

The Sand Beige leather seats are fantastic! The drivers seat has recently been reupholstered with correct matching leather. They are incredibly supportive with what feels like zero foam wear. The leather and foam is soft and comfortable. You sit surrounded in these buttery soft seats and overall BMW luxury! The leather has been very well cared for and shows only VERY minor flaws for a 18 year old car. All power seat 12 way functions work perfectly! The leather has been recently cleaned and conditioned as well! With warm seat heaters too, they are perfect place to spend time on a cool night! Rear seats are in excellent shape and also have the power recline option.

-CARPET

Excellent carpet in the car! It has been shampooed and cleaned as part of the overall detail. It is in wonderful shape and is covered in equally wonderful shape beige floor mats - check out the pics! Carpet in the trunk is in very nice shape.

-DOOR PANELS

Door panels are in wonderful shape! Only some very light finger tip wear near the window switches, which is very typical of the rubberized plastic coating.

-POWER SEATS

All power seat functions work perfect!

-POWER WINDOWS/SUNROOF

All windows work perfectly. The sunroof switch isn’t working so the sunroof is currently stuck shut.

- RADIO/CLIMATE CONTROL/NAVIGATION

The Entertainment system works fantastic with no glitches or errors. This car has Navigation, a built in Car Phone and even a built in TV option. The only aftermarket item on the car is a integrated Bluetooth setup. The scroll wheel works perfectly and shows virtually no wear. Dual Climate selections work perfectly, the radio works perfectly and sounds GREAT with the Premium Sound upgrade. AC is ice cold!!

Note: The dashboard display/digital read out on the Odometer and Trip computer is hard to read due to missing pixels.

-STEERING WHEEL

The leather very soft and feels great! All steering wheel functions and buttons work as they should. There is some very light wear on the leather and very light wear on the rubberized plastic covering on the spokes - again nothing much to take away from the overall beauty of the interior!

-CARGO AREA

The cargo area is fantastic shape. Clean battery - no corrosion. Original full BMW OEM manuals in their leatherette folder!

-PARKING SENSORS

All front and rear parking sensors work great!

The Experience:

Driving this 750IL is exactly what is was meant to be: a comfortable, relaxing, powerful experience. This was a $100k vehicle when new and still feels the part! It pulls like a train if you let your right foot have some fun, or cruises like a comfortable cruiser if you aren't in a rush. Wonderful for around town, ideal for enjoying on the weekends and perfect for a road trip, this 750IL is truly a treat to drive. One of the most appealing aspects of the E38s were their ride quality, and this car weathers our pot-hole ridden back roads with poise and comfort. It is in its glory out on the open highway.
