Description

This roadster has the rare, fast shifting, SMG transmission from BMW M-Performance. It also has the biggest and most powerful engine offered at the time. The engine sings through the rev range and the shifts are simultaneous with the paddles. We just put $6,000 into the drive train of this car at a BMW Certified service shop. The transmission has had a complete service including the replacement of wear & tear parts. The rear suspension is also recently replaced due to age with BMW’s factory sport suspension for the E85 Z4. The alternator and battery are brand new, and the amplifier for the radio was shipped to a certified shop to fix a common problem with the E85 BMW’s stock amplifiers. The convertible water seals were also replaced by the same BMW Certified shop when they did a recent oil change. We had the shop give the car a full inspection and told them to fix any issue they see after each visit. We had new in-cabin carpets shipped in for a cleaner look, however, every aspect of the the interior is not at complete showroom quality. Also, there are new Continental Extreme tires on the car installed by firestone with a warranty. The car has also recently been repainted with its OEM colour to bring more life to the exterior. I have been living with this exciting roadster for almost a year now. I am a tall girl, so the need for practicality is catching up to my desire to daily drive this wonderful go-kart. This car has been in my family for a while so it is hard to let it go but back seats would be nice as well. We recently bought another german roadster making owning this car slightly redundant. I am aware that the price is aggressive but considering the amount of work we had done to get the drivetrain as close to showroom as possible, and the fact that the BMW certified mechanic who inspected it said that in its current condition the car can easily run past 200,000 miles by simply keeping up with oil changes and typical wear parts I believe the price is justified.
