Up for sale 2000 (E39) BMW M5 in Avus blue over black leather interior with black alcantara headliner.I have owned it since 08/2011, bought it from an enthusiast who owned it since 2002, it’s been an outstanding vehicle- design, performance, safety, and even reliability are hard to beat.I have maintained it thoroughly and carefully but given other needs I simply do not use it enough, so it’s time for a new home. The car never been in accidents, and has a clean Car fac, the car has been titled in CA since 08/2011 It has been garaged, and very, very rarely driven (11.500 K miles for the entire 5 years of my ownership).
It has the wide screen OEM navigation screen, the software and the navigation map from BMW dealer updated to 2014, plus the navigation DVD GPS is MKIV, that is the one that goes in the trunk is the latest for the E39 generation.
It comes with retrofit OEM BMW Bluetooth bought from bimmernav, the cost with installation a bit over a $1000, also it has an iPhone music connection for charging your phone and listening to music installed by reputable professional shop, (Audio symphony)
Someone who wants a clean, enthusiast-owned, unmodified, lower-mileage M5 will really enjoy this.
Tires are literally brand new bought from tire rack 285/35R18 97Y rear & 245/40R18 93Y front Poz Bridgestone $1407.00, wheels have no curbing whatsoever.Cat. converter were replaced, clutch, battery, spark plugs.the rear wheels have H&R 10m.m spacer and the front have 7m.mI have two keys, books / manuals, service records of the previous owner who has it since 2002, plus all record for repairs since I bought it, all are available, the car has great sound as the previous owner, as I mentioned above is an enthusiast BMW installed Borla exhaust.
Note that all maintenance has been performed during my ownership by a BMW San Francisco & a well-regarded independent BMW shop.I’ve maintained this vehicle with the intent of owning it a long time, and keeping it in OEM-quality condition.
Super clean internal & external, extended leather, including dash, door sills, seat backs, etc.) shows no material wear, and has no punctures. brand new dashboard pixel unit with life warranty, car never abused and never tracked.
The car exterior regularly washed, waxed with Zaino products and the interior leather treated with OEM BMW cleaner and conditioner products.
No mechanical issues whatsoever and all necessary scheduled maintenance has been performed.it starts as expected, shifts properly, No oil leaks. I have always used name-brand Chevron 91-octane fuel, and Castrol TWS 10w60 oil, oil changed religiously every approx. 1700 miles just to keep the engine clean as possible, I have all records for that, differential oil just changed with the latest oil change, there was no need to change it but I just changed it.
Handling is excellent, with straight, consistent steering and smooth brake feel with good bite.
