This is our daily driven 2001 530i. We are only the second owners of this vehicle and we knew the previous owner personally. The car has been well maintained by the dealer as well as highly reputable local shops.
It has 227k miles on the clock but it runs smoothly and dependably. The daily commute is ~95miles (highway to and from the city). Engine runs strong and there are no check engine lights/codes.
The following have been replaced:
Front struts
Front rotors/pads, rear pads
Water pump/thermostat/hoses/radiator
PCV valve
Valve cover gasked/oil pan gasket/ rear main seal - the car doesn't leak oil.
Air/cabin filters
The front headlights are new - the original ones were foggy and had broken adjusters (I still have them)
I also upgraded the front seats to the sport option (still have the original ones in the basement)
It has homelink to connect to you your garage door opener.
It comes with the upgraded sound system (it has 2 small subs in the trunk) and I've installed a bluetooth module in the trunk which allows you to stream music (to use the speakerphone feature you'll need to run a microphone to the front of the car which I never did) and works like a charm.
The exterior has a few bumps and bruises. Most notably a dent in the driver door (someone bumped into the car while it was parked on the street) and a few spots of rust (most visible is a patch on the edge of the trunk).
The interior is very clean. The seats have a few worn spots but no rips or holes.
This is a great car for a great price. We've gotten a new vehicle so this one has to go.
