Great car, very reliable, strong runner, every luxury, fun to drive, no hidden problems.
GOOD:
Runs great! Floats down the freeway. *Newer top end, only 90k miles. Brand new water pump. Motor very strong. Clutch good. Brakes good. Newer tires. Lots of fun to drive. Interior exceptionally clean. Seats have no rips or tears. All power windows and sunroof work. A/C blows ice cold. All glass is good. Body straight, no major damage. Stock/original. Ready to drive you anywhere. Registration is only $142 + transfer fee/tax to bring current in California. No check engine light. Buyer assumes smog requirements. Clean title.
BAD:
Year and mileage don't match the car... Seems newer, acts and looks newer than year suggests. Gasket needs replaced on exhaust manifold, $35 part, easy job, slight exhaust leak, does not require immediate repair. Fuel gauge is intermittent; have a parts car on-hand to pull the fuel sending unit, if you'd like, (no charge), although it could just be a loose connection somewhere. Gas door missing; welcome to pull from parts car, no charge. Glove box needs to be reinstalled. Some clear coat peeling. Stereo not hooked up to speakers.
STORY:I have another 5-series which was victim of sabotage, rendering disabled, so I bought this car off of my friends who had just replaced the top end.
I fell in love with this car, and actually prefer it over my other broken 5-series, which is a decade newer. I really regret having to sell this car, but, out of nowhere, a nice old lady gave me her minivan, which is begrudgingly more suitable for my family, being a single mom, raising three young boys, ages 7, 5, and 1, by myself.
Don't let the year model or mileage fool you...This one truly is a well-cared-for, timeless, GEM!
Coming from someone who put 70 miles per day on the car, I already envy next buyer!
