*I noticed a slight popping noise when you take off from stop light, so slight it's not noticeable with the radio on, I made inquiry with my indy BMW shop mechanic (who also owns an X3). The transfer case will need to be replaced at some point, apparently the case noise is a common issue on this model from internal bearings becoming worn, yet this is not a safety issue nor does it effect any physical aspects of the vehicle's mobility, it's only the slightest noise at take off. My mechanic said he's been driving his X3 for a few years with the same issue (and has repaired others). Please research for yourself, if you can accept the vehicle with this minor fault, you will have an absolutely beautiful and well maintained X3 (I would feel comfortable driving this BMW to California). This is the well maintained gem loaded with options, the diamond personally owned vehicle dealers hope gets traded in to resell.
