Description

This is my 7th BMW. I’ve only owned it over a year and it is a wonderful car. but I need to let it go and get something a bit more versatile for my family needs. The car has fairly low miles (8K average a year compared to national average of 15K) and is in excellent mechanical condition. I’ve been a BMWCCA member since ’89 and I know what is required to maintain and spoil these fine machines. This is an excellent road car. This is a 530i with Premium & Sport packages. so it comes with full leather and most of the options that these cars came with. It’s an automatic with Step-tronic manual shifting ability and shifts strong and seamlessly and flawlessly in all modes. The car goes down the road like a BMW should; quiet. firm. and mostly. solid – like it is on rails. The steering is tight and gives great feel and feedback. The engine is quiet and strong and extremely smooth and offers great full mileage for a powerful and fast sedan with nearly 240 HP. I only use Mobil full Synthetic motor oil and change it every 10K – with Mann filters. Tires are nearly-new Continental all-weather performance tires on OEM BBS/BMW alloys – there’s another in the trunk for a spare with a brand-new OEM Michelin tire that was only used once for about 2 days when I had a pesky flat tire issue in town. Everything works on the car. there are no mechanical flaws or issues whatsoever. Unlike new BMW’s. it has a real spare tire. a temperature gauge. as well as a real dipstick. It has been adult owned and driven it’s entire life with no small childen. pets or smoke. The interior is almost flawless. with clean leather. headliner. dash. door panels and dashboard. It has BMW all-weather mats (and additional carpet overlays for spring and summer). The windshield is free of chips or cracks. Since I’ve owned the car. I’ve done a number of things. First off. for any BMW. you replace the entire cooling system and all components – including full radiator service. all hoses. fan. pulleys. coolant. belts. water pumps. thermostat housing. brass bleeding screws. expansion tanks. etc. I also had the OFH gasket replaced at the same time (common oil leak location) and cleaned up the alternator cooling duct. The differential was drained and filled with Red Line gear. bled the entire power steering and brake system just under a year ago. I bought pads for the rear (typical rattling issue) that I haven’t had a chance to mount. and I bought a set for the front – these will go with the new owner. The car has a wired/wireless GROM i-phone interface that offers a hands-free and media use (music) playback with the ability to control via the M- Sport steering wheel. with corresponding readout on the head unit of what is currently playing. The stereo head unit is stock BMW Business with single CD. but the speakers and amplifier(s) have been upgraded to high quality modern standards with component speakers in front and rear (coaxial) and a 10” subwoofer discreetly located in the trunk. all powered by a 6 channel amplifier system (4 + 2 channels). You won't be disappointed in the quality and volume and sound. Lastly. I replaced the center storage bin with two 12V power outputs for all those electronic devices we now use. The line is fed directly off the battery and is fuse-protected. The car has a professionally built and installed Curt 1. 25” hitch for bicycle carrier systems with included trailer wiring kit – I’ve never used the hitch or wiring to tow. The car comes with all books. manuals. 3 key fobs. extra grey mats. and all my receipts and service history. I would drive this car across the country and back. it’s that fun and reliable. Relisted due to bogus bidder.
