Buick built 126 GS 455 convertibles in 1972. and only a handful were brilliant yellow. This car was sold originally by Mucci Buick in Menlo Park (license frame is in the trunk). and although most California Buicks were built in Fremont. this is a Flint-built car. I was told the original owner burned a valve in the 1976 gas crisis. and stored the car in his garage. The seller was a home contractor who saw it buried under boxes and carpets. bought it. did a valve job. and sold it to me a year later. The 1992 mileage of 34K was supposedly original and it now has 54K. It is equipped with Air Conditioning. Power Windows. Power Top. Magnum 500s. etc. There is no body damage. and the photos were taken near dusk to emphasize the smooth lines. The Santa Clara climate is kind to cars. so the only rust is the surface of the exhaust system. The GS has been part of the family for 23 years. but downsizing means the time has come. This car does not need a restoration. it is ready to go. As well as the original user manuals there is a set of shop manuals (Chassis and Service). and my service records since 1992. The Sloan Museum has microfiche of the build sheets. and a copy of that identifies everything that was ordered.
