The car was purchased new in Keyser. WV from Martin Buick (the sticker still is intact on the rear bumper). It was kept in the same family until 2011. and I purchased it last summer from the person who bought it from the original family. It has a little over 64. 00 original miles. which is documented on the title. This is a very comfortable car and drives very nice. It has the famous “nail head” Buick 364 V-8 with the Dynaflow transmission. The car runs and drives very nice and gets plenty of looks. The steering tracks straight and brakes don’t pull…and rides nice and smooth. Exterior:The paint is a striking “jet black” with a contrasting white metal roof. The paint appears to be all original. however I think the roof might have been painted at one time…perhaps by the dealer when delivered new. to give it a nice contrast (a common practice by dealers at the time). Body work has been minimal; however it needs attention in a few rust spots as noted in the pictures…. otherwise the body is mostly solid and has very little bondo. The prior owner kept it in a barn since he bought it in 2011. nbsp;but unfortunately. the car was parked next to a horse. which on occasion decided to rub his teeth against the finish. hence several large scratches on the hood and trunk. In my opinion. since the paint is original. it would be a shame to repaint the whole car; however these scratches might be touched up by someone who knows what they are doing? Other than the scratches. and other imperfections that come with age. the finish otherwise presentable as is. in my opinion. The chrome is also presentable. showing some age here and there. but not bad for a driver. The chrome finish on the rear bumper is probably the most worn. but no shame for the age. The undercarriage seems to be solid and original. Frame is solid and has no heavy rust anywhere to my knowledge. I am not aware of any problems with the floor either. I believe the trunk pan is OK. except for the rear body mount needs attention. at the rearmost section of the trunk on the drivers side (near the bottom of the trunk lid opening). Underneath the doors and trunk lid have some minor rust. I have many more pictures of the car (including the frame/underbody) which I can email upon request. Overall. the exterior is in fairly good condition. Interior:The interior is in very good condition. It smells like an “old car” but no smoke or mildew smell. thankfully. The interior appears to be 100% original. even the carpet. The seats are decent. comfortable and clean. There are no rips or tears. except for a small spot on top of the back of the rear seat. probably from a mouse (see exterior picture through back window). The door panels are still in good shape too. The dash pad has no cracks. The wipers and the dash lights do not work. However. the instrument gauges and the AM radio work well. The clock works when it wants to. Mechanical: The following was done recently: -Mechanic performed PA Safety Inspection. but no sticker (because of the trunk mount and wipers) - Oil change. filter & lube -Radiator re-cored -Hoses and V-belt -Brakes & wheel cylinders -Tires - Exhaust (from Y-pipe all the way back)…although there is a small exhaust leak where the Y-pipe joins the center pipe - Gas tank - Plugs & wires - Carburetor was rebuilt - New battery As stated previously. the car runs beautifully. The DynaFlow transmission runs smooth and seems to operate as it should. Engine seems to have plenty of power. There is a typical oil leak at the main seal. but nothing major. Overall: If you are looking for a beautiful. solid. reliable. clean classic Buick in nice shape. this one’s for you. It’s not Barrett Jackson quality but in my opinion this is very suitable as-is and great for the local cruise-in. It runs and drives nicely and will make a very nice classic for you.
