After considerable research and inspection this car appears to present itself as a one of a kind production model. This 1997 Camaro z28 is equipped with an LT4 as indicated by the manufacturers factory installed rpo label located on the drivers side door. The significance of noting this particular detail is that the LT4was exclusive as standard equipment only to theGrand Sport Corvette and reportedly available only as an SLP installed option on the Camaro yet the original rpo label...see pic...states the opposit, hereby lending credence to the possibility of an unusual exception. There are additional SS indicators such asram air hood, 0th anniversary seats and floor mats, Srear spoiler and ss badging. The general appearance points toward a unique automotive rarity that certainly deserves your bidding consideration..On Jan-15-16 at 10:38:58 PST, eller added the following information:
NOTE...according to the factory installed rpo label, he LT4 WAS INSTALLEDBEFORE it left the st theres, anadian plant.Around 108 were converted to LT4by SLP.According to our research this definetly wasNOT converted by any outside entity including SLP. We have not been able to locate even 1 other example of an LT4 being included as a factory installed engine onany other97 z28 per the left door factory rpo label. Is it some type of prototype? We just don't know. We do know it seems to bethe rarest modern era Camaro we have ever studied
