Selling this vehicle for a friend. You can call his cell directly with any specific questions (717)684-5560 and his name is David. 1940 Buick Special 4-door sedan. 66,959 miles showing on the odometer. The mileage on the title shows very close to that but worth noting that the odometer WAS NOT working during my test drive. So then the actual mileage is unknown at this point. Purchased a couple years ago from an old man that owned it since it was new or near new. Engine is a straight 8. 3-on-the-tree manual shift. Car has been kept in pretty much near original condition it's entire life. It is an excellent driver. Usually starts very easily unless it sits for a long period of time then it takes and while for the fuel to draw through the lines. Body is overall very nice and straight with little evidence of rust or major repair. Paint is crackled and has significant patina and wear. Chrome has some pitting but overall not too terribly bad. Original glass is all good. Rubber mouldings around the glass are deteriorated. It is missing the original gas tank. There is a plastic gas can in the trunk which serves as the tank. A couple thousand was invested to get it running when it was purchased a couple years ago and items include new tires, new exhaust, and plugs and wires. Interior also kept original. Back seat has a cut and the upholstery is faded. Original head liner is surprisingly complete and good condition other than discoloration. Front bench has a seat cover and I'm not sure what it looks like under there. I accompanied the owner on a test drive so I can testify that it is good running. I'm told all the lights work but I did not get to check for myself so I can't say for sure. I'm not sure if the radio works or any of the dash features either. Window cranks are good working. I was surprised at how well the doors open and shut with ease. Overall it's a very good solid original - not a restored show car. Has a clean PA title. Vehicle is for local pick up only here in Columbia, PA 17512.
