Description

1969 Buick Skylark Custom. Let me start by saying that this car is a Buick fan's dream! 35. 00 ORIGINAL miles! Numbers matching Buick 350/4 BBL (Rochester Quadra Jet). 3 speed transmission. I purchased the vehicle from my good friend. whose Grandpa bought it new in 1969. It was then passed down through his family to his father and then to him. I bought the car because he works out of town and sold his house. which meant he lost his storage space for the car. Our agreement was that he would have the option to buy it back once he got settled in a new house. but that was 5 years ago. so now it's time to let her go to a new owner. The car has 95% original equipment. I say 95% because over the years there have been belts. hoses. plugs. gaskets. brakes and as you can see in the pictures the wheels and tires have been replaced/changed. Other than that. this car is the same as it was when it left the showroom floor in 1969. This truley is a time capsule. Included in the sale are the following:Original wheels & bias ply tiresOriginal spare tire and jack Original keysOriginal license platesOriginal owner's manual and warranty cardOriginal Protecto-plateInsurance and registration cards going back to 1974The engine is strong and starts easily. The tranny shifts very smooth. Buick was called the "Gentleman's Muscle Car". because it paired power with luxury. Interior: 9/10. There is a split on the drivers seat. right on the seam (pic #11). A couple of interior guys I met at a car show said it will be an easy fix. There are a few scuffs on the door arm rests (pic #13). You can see both of these in the pictures. The dash has NO cracks. The car has its original glass. all in great shape. I have the original one piece front floor mat. The car has the very RARE low/high speed rear window defroster option. The headliner is perfect. This is a non AC car. The doors. trunk and hood close very solid and all of the body panel gaps are consistently even around the car. Every light and gauge works. the clock works when it wants to. the radio works. the interior lights work. even the buzzer works when the key is in and the door is opened. I can't describe how awesome this car is. I've been driving muscle cars for 20 years and this car is. by far. in the best shape of any I've ever had. Exterior: 9/10. The car is rust free. with exception of a dime sized bubble under the paint where the roof slopes down towards the trunk on the drivers side (pic #8). This is shown in the pictures. The car was repainted the factory color in the mid 1990's. The bumpers are excellent and have great shine. There is a small dent in the trim piece along the rear quarter window and there is a couple of small dings on the passenger rear quarter panel. The dings were there when I bought the car and I don't know how they got there. The good news. is that they didn't leave any scratches or break the paint at all. I tried to show them in the pictures. but they are very hard to see (pic #7). There may be a way for a body man to pull them out. I don't know. The grill does have 2 broken pieces on either side of the front emblem. but it's difficult to notice unless you are bent over and looking for it (pic #3). In the past 2 years I have replaced the intake manifold gaskets. the valve cover gaskets. brakes and wheel cylinder on all four wheels. There are maintenance and repair reciepts going back to 2000 included. The car has new rims and new BF Goodrich Radial TA tires. 225/60R15 on front. 225/70R15 on rear. I'm open to any questions you have about the car. 832-535-4406 -I do have more pics that I couldn't load. I can email them to you if needed. I really want this car to go to the right home. If you want to chop it. drop it. throw hydraulics on it or make any insane modifications then please pass on it. This is an incredible example of an un-molested and original American made classic car. Please treat her as such.
