1974 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible RED Interior, Marlon Brando's Physician's Car

1974 Eldorado Convertible. all original driver-quality survivor. This was. in fact. Marlon Brando's personal physician's car. I have paperwork to prove this. Old parade car. Original parade boot included. holes in front bumper for american flags and it even has a bermuda bell (stomp on button on floor and it dings). This makes the car an absolute neck breaker. This car is solid and unmolested. Odometer shows 48. 00 miles. and while I cannot prove it to be accurate. the condition of the car certainly supports the idea that it is. This is not a show winner or a trailer queen. but it would be a wonderful base for a restoration project or can be enjoyed every day as-is the way I have…it is an absolute pleasure to drive. Everything works on the car except the cruise and the power antenna and air including the automatic heat and. Pictures tell the story. EXTERIORThe white paint shows well but is by no means a trophy winner. it’s a good 10-footer. The chrome. trim. and glass are all in good shape. Body is straight with good panel alignment. There is one dent in the rear passenger quarter (see pictures). No trim is missing and all lights (even the cornering lights) work as they should. Bumper fillers are good. only one out of four is cracked. Hubcaps in good shape. There is some of the normal surface rust on the trunk floor. but no substantial rust or rot that I have found. TOPThe convertible top works but not well. The white convertible top is still usable. but the material is tired and has shrunk around the rear quarter windows and the front header. The glass rear window is broken. No rips in the top. INTERIORRed interior is all origina and represents well. Carpets are in good shape but have some fading. Dash in great shape. all original. no extra holes or modifications except for a new radio. Door panels have some rips and the driver’s armrest has the regular cracks. The automatic climate control and heat work as they should. All gauges. lights. etc work (except speedometer and light). radio works. All four power windows work from all switches. Power locks work too. MECHANICALThe car starts. runs. and drives wonderfully. While some of the cosmetics on this car may be a bit tired. the driving experience is wonderful. 500 cu in engine runs smooth. choke works. doesn’t smoke. doesn't run hot. Transaxle shifts as it should. Steering. breaks. suspension all feel like they should. I have never hesitated to rely on it mechanically. I have taken it on 100 mile trips to Cape May dozens of times with no problems. On a sunny day with the top down. you will feel like the king of the world. If you’re looking for a great driver-quality Eldo. this is a great car for you. As I’ve said. this is not a show car. but the price reflects the condition. This is a car you can have huge amounts of fun with as I have without having to stress about getting a new ding in a parking lot. Clear PA title is in hand.
