This Midnight Rider was part of the Laster Funeral Home in Tallahassee. It was handed down to heirs and sat parked in a yard for over 30 years. The hearse was titled to the Laster Funeral Home and was never transferred to an individual's name by the heirs. Thus. it is being sold with Bill of Sale only. This beauty is awesome and will be a great restoration project. The car is complete with matching numbers. There are a few issues related to it sitting up for so long. The wheels are not free turning at this time and a small tree grew between the bumper and fender on the right front. We cut away the tree but there is some wood that will need to be removed by being cut away or taken out when the bumper is taken off (does not appear to have damaged the car -see photos). Overall. this classic is in very good shape. Maybe a few small dings but nothing that stands out. The paint is in fairly good shape although a little more faded than in the photos. as the pollen was hosed off just prior to taking the pictures. The engine is a much desired flathead V8 with 3-speed manual transmition. There is some rust through in the front floor panels and a few holes in the wooden floor in the back. The bench seat will require some work and re-upholstery. The interior will need to be restored as the headliner and other fabrics have all disintegrated. The doors all work well. I love this Caddy and would happily keep if if I had the time (and skill) to do the restoration justice. Car sold as is and buyer should be very pleased with the purchase.
