Description

2007 Dodge Ram Mega Cab 4x4 Laramie 6. 7 Turbo Diesel - Special Order Vehicle. Thousands in Extras. This is a pampered. meticulously maintained and loved vehicle. I have a binder full of Receipts for the upgrades and maintenance. PLEASE NOTE: the ONLY reason I'm selling it is that I got a new company vehicle (a 2015 GMC Sierra Denali) and don't need 2 full size trucks. I had every intention of keeping this truck for another 10 years and have maintained it in anticipation of doing exactly that. There's no way to tell (with the factory gauges) when the truck goes into ReGen mode. Dodge recommends that you not turn the truck off if it's in ReGen Mode. Therefore. I've installed a Auto Meter Pyrometer (with the correct face color and lighting to match the dash) which measures the EGT. This is mounted in a single gauge (new) A pillar enclosure beneath the grab handle. It's done the way the factory should have done it. 2. I installed a front BD Performance frame brace to strengthen the connection at the steering box and frame end. Although I don't have it. these trucks are notorious for "death wobble" which is exacerbated with larger tires and a lift. 3. There were a number of computer issues (I believe smog related) with the 6. 7 Cummins. I had a few minor recurring issues. and therefore I had Dodge replace the computer (completely) at my expense. That was July of 2014 and I have had no issues since. 4. Considering it's a long. 3/4 ton. 4 wheel drive truck - there was a noticeable "bounce" when going down the freeway unless I had a load in the back. I had the rear springs re-arched for the proper lift and removed a few of the overloads to soften the ride and it's a huge improvement. I can still carry a full load in the truck without any issues and it drives a lot better. A few random items worthy of mention:I'm particular about my vehicles and have only run Union 76 Diesel (about 90% of the time) or Chevron Diesel (the remaining 10%) through it. It's never had crappy or low grade fuel in the system. Since I didn't plan on selling it. I kept all of the stock suspension parts (including the shocks). They have only about 200 miles on them and they will be included with the truck. Similarly. I have the stock overload springs and will include them as well. The truck has been used as a truck and has performed flawlessly. I have a cabin in the mountains - it tracks straight and climbs like a goat offroad and in the snow. We don't salt the roads in California. so there's no corrosion. The underside of the truck looks as new as the top. I'm asked at least twice a month if it's a new truck. The color really shows well. The truck has the upgraded Infinity Sound System and is wired for Sirius/XM (not currently subscribed)It's never been smoked inThe oil has been changed (with the correct oil) religiously. Everytime it's been in for an oil change or maintenance. I've instructed my mechanic to look it over and do anything it needs. Known Issues / Things I would change or Repair:There's a small ding (low) in the cab extension on the driver's side. behind the rear door (from a runaway cart at Home Depot). You might not be able to see it in the pictures. but it's the only ding in the truck. My mechanic broke the top mounting point on the A Pillar handle on the driver's side. He Epoxied it. and it appears to be good (no one would probably ever know)- but it's only a $76 part (with tax and shipping). so I'd replace it. One of the cylinder locks on one the truck bed boxes is missing the arm to properly latch it. It's a $2 part. The fog lamps are PIAA 540's and need new lamps. They're about $30 each. Depending upon how you drive. the tires have probably another 5 to 10k miles left on them. There are a few minor spots on the from chrome grille and on the hood deflector where the chrome is not perfect. They're both the original parts. I think it's just marks from kicked up rocks. Most people would never notice. There's a dent on the right rear side of the bumper. It's been there for a few years and I haven't fixed it because I was toying with changing to a Fusion or Road Armor bumper. If you want it perfect. a repro Dodge chrome bumper can be had for about $350. There's a visible line where the lower door weatherstrip meets the cab. Most people would never notice. The black rubber trim on each side of the windshield is cracked and worn. Most people would never notice. The truck has been paid off for years and I'm not desperate to sell it. It is in great shape and I would truly like it to go to someone who will appreciate it. That being said. please know that the miles will go up before I sell it. Selling it is bittersweet and I intend to enjoy it as much as possible while I have it. My reserve is fair and below the retail book value without the cost of the options. I'm glad to show it and encourage anyone who's interested to inspect it in person. or have someone look at it for you. I feel confident that if you do. you'll buy it. It's currently in my warehouse in Costa Mesa. right by John Wayne Airport. You are welcome to fly in and drive it home. Or. if you pay for shipping they can easily pick it up from my warehouse (very easy access). Thanks for looking ~ and best wishes bidding!
