The shirring technique gathered material into rows. and created wrinkles and folds that essentially had invisible seams. The leather for 1975 is noticeably thinner and softer when compared to earlier Cadillac leathers. However. when cared for properly it retains its softness and flexibility better. and appears to wear as well or better than other leathers. As previously stated the original engine has what is believed to be only 24K original miles and is extremely strong and powerful.
