Due to ill health, ffered for sale is a1923 Cadillac Victoria. When WWII broke out, he war drives were melting down all the classic cars for the war effort. A man from Detroit, amed Barney Pollard, oved classic cars so much that he tried to save as many as he could. His family was in the road construction business and could afford to sell for scrap a lot of their older equipment. He made a deal with the local salvage yards to trade them pound for pound equipment for old cars. He then took telephone poles and buried them in his mas...sive warehouse facility and strung cables from the top of them, eadheading the ends for weight. He put the tops of the cars down, emoved the tires and then hung them from the wires like clothes in your closet. He could get 5 cars in the footprint of 1 car sitting on it's wheels. He saved hundreds of classic cars, oth pre WWI and WWII. The car I have hung on a cable for 43 years, as only 17,000 original miles, nd has a body made out of aluminum. This car would have been made into an airplane if not for Barney Pollard. This car is perfect in every way, nd even the compressor off the transmission, o air up the tires, till works. This is a car that should never be restored. If interested, all Richard Blomquist (608) 780-8229. See more at WhiteGloveCollection.com.
